My daughter is having a tea party for her birthday, I am on the hunt for paper or plastic teacup shaped cups. I called party city but they said they dont have any. does anyone know where I could look for something like this? i could even order them possibly as her party is not for 3 weeks...

What can I do next?

I would go to the local salvation army or good will store and buy some mismatched teacups. You could make it fun and each girl could take hers home! People are always "donating" incomplete china sets and old patterns. They have some really cute things.

Have you tried party city online? I am in VA and I know darn well that 2 Easters ago I bought some paper teacups from a party city store.

I just looked and didn't see them (grrr)... but they were little paper cups, small like the little cups you might put in your bathroom... and had this little fold out handle.

Sorry that wasn't more help :/

Have you tried Oriental Trading? Hobby Lobby and/or Michaels might have something as well.

Also, there is a place in Plano at the NW corner of Independence/Parker called US Toy and they have a lot of items much like Oriental Trading with party supplies. I know that is a drive from Keller but you might be able to call and check it out.

I think M. on the GO has a great idea. Go to thrift stores and buy cute mismatched tea cups and saucers for each girl. They can have a fancy napkin, and cute spoons too. Then when done with the tea, your craft for them can be to glue the cup into the saucer and fill the cup with potting mix. Then each girl plants a tiny flower in her cup to take home and watch grow. Something like a pansy or african violet would be sweet!

You can buy clear punch cups, which are plastic. They have small handles, just right for little fingers. If you want them fancy, you can either paint the outside or arrange designed pattern stickers on them.
