Ovarian Hard Mass?

My mother is currently going through this except hers is the size of a grapefruit they've told her. They found it during her yearly exam. For my mother they have done an ultrasound, and a type of cat scan. It's hard to say what it is for sure. For my mother they've decided to go in and remove it because of the size. Ovarian cancer can happen at an early age. I've seen it happen before. That's not to say that your sister has it, but I would suggest going to a specialist and take care of it asap so that if it is they can stop it before it spreads.

It could be a cyst. She might have a condition called Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, PCOS for short. It seems to be characterized by hormonal imbalance, irregular periods, sometimes weight gain and abnormal hair growth. It's manageable, but sometimes difficult to get diagnosed.

It could be a hard cyst. Or it could be an egg that filled up with bone and hair and other material. Either way she could chose any number of treatments besides getting it surgically removed.
Go to a really good acupunturist. Someone trained in Hong Kong or Taiwan will be able to fix all your infertility problems.
When I was 19 the ob-gyn told me I had a cyst on my ovary and if I did not have it out I would never conceive. Well, "Never" has her own child now. Some cysts and other growths clear on their own.

I don't know a lot of details but both my mother in her early 20s and my friend around the same age had ovarian cysts that were quite large and had to be removed. But they were benign. My mom had to have 1.5 ovaries removed because her's were so big but she still managed to have 2 kids.

I had an ovary removed when I was 25 yo. I always had irregular periods and I waited to go to the doctor because I didn't have health insurance, and, like your sister, I never had any symptoms. They found the cyst in April, it was 4 cm and three months later, when my surgery was scheduled, it had grown to 11 cm. The first plan was to save my ovary, but the cyst grew so fast they had to remove it. I had regular exams (ultrasound and blood tests) for about 2 years after the procedure and everything was fine. I'm 39, have two children and didn't have any problems getting pregnant in my mid thirties with just one ovary. My periods are still irregular, but it's better after I had my kids.
