Opinions on Best/yummiest Pre-made Dinner Rolls for Thanksgiving

Hello All - I have been assigned the easy task of bringing the Thanksgiving dinner rolls this year. I am headed up north and need to buy something ahead of time to take with me because I will not be able to shop on Thanksgiving Day. Bakery rolls without preservatives just won't keep well until then, so I am looking for the best tasting rolls available otherwise - something that doesn't taste like or have the texture of Wonder Bread would be preferable (no offense to those who like that bread though!). Thanks!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Hawaiin rolls. They come in a red bag and are in the bakery section of most Krogers. They're a little bit sweet and very tastey! Whenever we have leftovers, I'll sometimes eat them as a snack, without butter :) They're that good :)

Try Rhodes in the frozen food section.

Sister Shubert Dinner Rolls are the best, we purchase them at Kroger in the Frozen Foods Section. They taste deliciously homemade.

Everyone loves Pillsbury crescent rolls! Also, in the organic section of frozen foods at Kroger, they have these ciabatta rolls, already made and frozen that are great. They come in a bag,are a little hearty, but good.

Sister Shubert (not sure if I spelled that correctly) are the best roles for Thanksgiving. They're found in the frozen section of most grocery stores (I purchased mine at Meijer). They need to be allowed to thaw before baking them (in the tin they come in) so I think this would be a great alternative. :)

One of our favorites are the Hawaiian Sweet Rolls. They are soft and sweet. Very tasty! They sell them at most grocery stores. I've gotten them from Kroger and VGs.

There is a second type we really like but I am at a loss for the name of them. They come in what looks like a pie tin. Again sold at Krogers and VGs. You pop them in the oven while food is staying warm and they get crispy/flaky on the outside but stay warm and soft on the inside. I think they are called Grandma rolls.

Both are in the bakery area.

Go to your local bakery on Wednesday, they should have fresh dinner rolls that will be good the next day. If you are at someone else's house you are not going to want to use their busy oven. I too have been assigned dinner rolls. Life is good! Have a happy holiday! I think I will call my corner bakery Monday, and place an order.

I agree about the Alexia frozen rolls. You should be able to get them at most stores, definately whole foods and hillers. They only take about 10 mintes to bake and taste great.

Target carries a brand of artisan breads in their frozen section called "Alexia." There are a couple different varieties, but I love the "French" ones. They go from freezer to oven without being thawed, and only take 8-10 minutes. They come out with a nice crisp outside and are soft and warm inside. I tried them on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. They tasted like they just came from Panera! Since they are frozen, they will travel well in a small cooler with a couple ice packs. I like them because you can make one roll or the whole package which is handy for weeknight dinners.

Kind of funny...bread/rolls is one of my Thanksgiving assignments, too! (However I use my bread machine and start making loaves the night before). My Thanksgiving hostess loves the leftover slices of homemade bread for her "morning after Thanksgiving breakfast."
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Pillsbury frozen dinner rolls (garlic) just won top pick in a Rachael Ray contest for pre-made rolls. I've never had the garlic flavor, but the original flavor is delicious.
