Okay, as you moms may have seen in my recent posts, I have been having some questions about what is going on with my body. I have stopped my birth control pill and haven't had a period in almost 2 months. I will have supposed to be having my period in about a week and the fact that I missed last month puzzles me too. I know that when you stop your birth control it can sometimes take a few months for your body to get back to normal. Well I have taken 3 different pregnancy tests in the past month and they have all been negative. The last one I have taken has been about a week ago. Well today I have started a little bleeding, more like spotting, not a whole lot like a normal period and it kinda has a mixture of white creamy discharge with it. And I have cramps like I'm on my period. Any advice helps! Thanks in advance!

What can I do next?

I meant to respond to your previous post but I've been a little busy so I'll just briefly share with you what happened with me. I was on the pill for about seven years when my husband and I decided to try to start a family. So I stopped taking the pill. I went almost three months with no period and countless negative pregnancy tests. I did have some spotting and cramps about 1 1/2 months after I stopped taking the pill which my doctor told me to count as a period. But my cycle was very unusual and I went for long periods of time with no period or just half a day of spotting and cramps. I have read that it can actually take a long time (several months) before your cycle may be back on track.

G.,

Call the doctor! Have you been seen by your gynecologist? It could be something very simple like your body readjusting to not having the pill anymore. Also keep in mind that no matter what the home test shows, you still could be pregnant. CALL THE DOCTOR! Get seen and have your self checked out. Don't take a chance and keep relying on the moms here to figure out your problem. I am sorry for what seems like yelling but you need to be seen. Please get in to the doctor.

Good luck.

You might finally be ovulating. The discharge with ovulating is expected, and occasionally blood-tinged. I had the same problem after stopping BC (I had an IUD). My gyn said that they don't usually become too concerned until after two cycles are missed. She said that it's normal to miss one, esp after coming off hormonal contraception. If you still don't have a period after two cycles, definitely call. They give you something to jump start your cycle. I know how frustrating it is- I don't know how many preg tests I went through during that time!

After being on the pill for nunmerous years, the doctor wouldn't prescribe it anymore. I was thirty-five & he suggested sterilization. My husband (then) had surgery because it was less expensive. The scary part was next!
I was having all of the PM symptoms, but I didn't have a period. The doctor ordered bloodtests & prescribed Premarin. That only made me feel worse. Then he decided to let my body run it's course. I had a period 13 months later.
The ironic thing is that I had to go back on the pill a few years later. I was having an excessively heavy period for 23 days (or more) out of the month. The doctor did a biospy & decided to give me(lower dose)the pill again.

that does not sound good. Have you been tested for an STD? I know you hate to think of that, but perhaps?? But cramping and a milky discharge needs to be tested and issue solved. Good luck and God bless.
