Okay, I already have an OB/GYN I LOVE, but he has dropped out of my current insurance provider network. I am about 6 weeks pregnant, and am considering seeing an OB/GYN in my network until we switch over to my new job's insurance, then I can go back to my OB/GYN that I have currently.
Has anyone encountered problems switching during a pregnancy? I am 35, so they will wanting to be doing all sorts of extra tests, so if I just pay cash until the new insurance kicks in, that could get expensive!

These are the docs that are in my network:
Steven M Lepetich
Sidney E Semrad
Robert L Johnson
Randall H Craig
Ole–Georg Torjusen
Mark I Brachfeld
Jeanne LaMont
Daniel F Rychlik
Bruce R Eich

Anyone have anything good or bad to say about any of these docs?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated ladies!!!

What can I do next?

My doctor is Steven M Lepetich, and I've had a couple of the other doctor's at his office and they were all good. The nurses are very friendly too and there usually isn't much of a wait. They were very inderstanding in me wanting to try a VBAC after my first c-sect and were helpful when I had a scare with a breast lump.

I am a Doula and have worked with a few Docs on your list - I really like Dr. Brachfeld, and Eich is good too! Dr. Torjusen delivered my 1st child over 15 years ago, and did my ectopic surgery 9 years ago. I really like him too (if I was having surgery again). The others I have no experience with. Good Luck! ____@____.com

Dear B.,

My ob/gyn is Dr Semrad. His office is really booked up and hard to get into, so I don't know if he is currently taking any new patients. I really like him and his nurse practitioner, Dawn. They spend the time with you and answer your questions, so you never feel rushed. One drawback, though is that there is always a long wait at the office to get in. I always expect to be there at least an hour, so if you are able to get in, don't plan on getting in and and out that fast.

I was 40 when I had my first one, and they made sure that they did all the tests for older moms. They also set me up with a genetics specialist so I could discuss all the risks of having a baby at an "older age." If you can get in, I highly recommend him.

Good luck -
T.

Dr Steven Lepetich delivered both of my boys (ages 11 & 2), his office staff is great! My 2 yr old was born 10 weeks premature and he was great with the delivery and support!
Feel free to email me if you would like more information

B.,

How long do you have till the new insurance kicks in? I might have an option of what you can do in between insurances. Also, what is the name of your dcotor right now that you want to keep and where is he located? Let me know as soon as possible and I might be able to help.

Thanks,
L.
