My regular ob retired and left his practice to a doctor who in my opinion is way too young, and her lack of experience shows far more than I am comfortable with. I have been given no advice, she doesn't answer my ques. and worse yet, her office staff are lazy. The lady at the front wouldn't help me with the baby arizona because I didn't have pay stubs. I get direct deposit for unemployment and DES should know that, as well the fact they don't send out pay stubs if you recieve direct deposit. I need a really good doctor, where I can get in without having to wait weeks if something is wrong, and the doctor needs to accept baby arizona. I would like a doctor who works out of Banner on southern and dobson. That would be my first choice; however, I hear tempe st. lukes has just opened their birthing center, I would be willing to go there, if I got good feed back about it, or about their doctors. Please help if you can, I need this info. ASAP. Thank you so much, Kathy
try dr mcneil on brown and univ . She is awesome and has a fairly small practice so has time to talk.

Hi Kathy. I'm sorry you are having such trouble finding a good doctor. It can be a difficult decision to make. I have switched OB/GYN's 3 times for that very reason. Anyway, I am very happy with my current OB. His name is Dr. Alperin at Contemporary Care for Women. Their phone number is ###-###-#### for the Tempe office. They also have an office in Gilbert but I don't know that number. I delivered my last baby with him at Banner Desert and it went well. I am now 9 weeks pregnant and will deliver there again. Dr. Alperin is really nice, thorough and will answer any and all questions you may have. His nurse is really nice as well and calls you back quickly if you leave her a voicemail. The office in general is organized and very nice when you go in. It is easy to get a pregnancy appointment but just as a heads up to get a yearly exam appointment it takes 6 months. The only thing I don't know is if they take Baby Arizona. You could call and ask them. Hope this helps and good luck with your new baby!

I don't know if she takes baby arizona, but I have an obgyn at Banner on southern and dobson. Her name is Heather Mangam. I used her for my daughter, and she was very good! Later when going to routine checkups, if you don't mind seeing a nurse practioner, her's are Very good! Hope you find someone good you trust!

I am not sure if you are still looking. If you are comfortable with a male ob/gyn my dr is Bruce Eich. I have been with him for 10 years and would take him as a family doctor anyday if he changed over. I have had many medical problems and he is grteat. I had my worst experience at Dr. Christine Brass-Jones' office. I always had to wait at least 30 minutes for every appointment. Her office staff is not friendly and extremely unprofessional. They didn't bill my insurance ontime so I had to pay for my annual exam out of pocket. I could go on and on. I went there for 2 years and I will never set foot in that office again!

Well my recommendation always is Dr. Christine Brass Jones. She is located in Mesa at the Center for True Harmony and Wellness. But I will tell you that she only delivers at Banner Mesa Medical Center which in my opinion is a lot less hectic and peacefuler than Banner Desert. She also delivers at Banner Baywood in East Mesa. You can read her reviews at the link above in Local business reviews and her contact info. I love her and think she has the greatest heart for women and their babies. Whatever you choose, I just wish you well for you and your baby. You deserve it.
