Need Recommendation for Mattress . . .

Hi, ladies,

My husband and I are looking for a new king mattress. We bought a pillow top a few years ago, but it has taken on the shape of a mountain peak. It's kind of like the roof of Snoopy's house, and we're getting tired of sleeping in two "holes" with a giant peak in the middle.

Any suggestions of a good mattress - and if you know, could you share how much it is? Thanks!

C.

We had a queen sleep number, when we moved into our new home my hudband suggested a king size bed so we bought an 18" pillow top. We slept on it for 1 week returned it and spent the next 3 weeks in agony and pain. Needless to say we went back to our sleep number. I swear by these beds. I have issues with my hips and I have never woke up stiff and sore. All our kids have one as well. They have different models, and we did not spend the extra for the upgraded model or on a box spring we bought a cheaper one at a different store. I would not give this bed up for any other. Also these matresses are so light you can easily move it yourself. Try it out for a month if you don't like it return it.

We had the same hilly situation. What a nightmare that was. We actually bought a display mattress from Inteli-bed. Best thing we ever did. No more hills, back pain, sleepless nights... I thought when we first got our pillow top, it was like sleeping on a pile of clouds. But at the end it was like sleeping on a wave. Not comfy at all. Good luck to you!!!

We bought Walmart's version of the temperpedic. We bought a queen size for $259. We would have bought the one at Sam's Club because it's better, but we didn't have the money ($500) so this was the compromise. They should have one at Costco, too. We bought it because it was easy to get home and in the basement. There was no way to get any mattress down the stairs since there is a sharp corner but this mattress came in a box on wheels. Anyhow...we are very pleased with the mattress. I thought that it was just us but we give up our bed to any house guests and everyone has said it's really comfortable and we never asked them. My mother-in-law said that her hands weren't numb. Apparently her great mattress at home isn't as great as she was told. She sleeps on her stomach with her hands under her pillow and wakes up with numb hands and arms. She didn't know it was the mattress until she slept on ours. I recommend this mattress or one like it. Some people think they lose their ability to conform or "unconform" to your body. We had a mattress topper made with the same material for 6 years(gave it away in a move so I am sure it's still doing great!) and it was always as good as new. We expect this to do the same. After sleeping on our bed, my parents have decided to purchase one, too. Hope this helps! Happy mattress hunting!!

Thanks for the question, we have the same problem with our matress and it is from Denver Mattress. It has a 15 year warranty, and we also have the peaks, and have hated it for years. We have followed the instructions to rotate it, but it doesn't work anymore. It is 9 years old, and I feel guilty asking for a trade in now, but I might try it.
Again thanks for the question it put a flame under me to do something about our mattress.

I suggest the Doctor's Choice from Denver Mattress. They have 3 levels of firmness as well as pillow top and regular. Everyone I know who has purchased this line (including me) has been very happy with it. I used to have back pain almost every morning but once I switched to this mattress, I sleep through the night and no back pain.

I highly recommend looking at the mattress available at www.hyattathome.com. These are the same pillowtop mattresses they use in all Hyatts (I used to work for Hyatt). The beds are soooo comfortable and they are obviously durable since they are used every night in a hotel. My mom stayed in a few Hyatts and loved how comfortable the beds were and she ended up ordering one. Her and my stepfather love it! It won't sink or anything. They are great...I wish I could afford one!! Good luck!

Hi! the very best mattress my family has looked at, is the gell cell ones at the My comfort store $2000 and up depending on what size, and quality. No I do not sell them. It is the only bed my Dad has been able to lay flat, or on his side, for more than five minuets, since his heart surgery.

I just got a great deal on the Westin Heavenly Bed from the W store online http://www.whotelsthestore.com. You can try the bed out at Nordstroms. I got the bed for 40% using a coupon code from www.retailmenot.com It takes 2-3 weeks for delivery (at Nordstroms it is 6 weeks). In the end we paid $1,032 for a $1,720 bed and spent zero shipping or tax. I don't know how long the 40% code will last as it was supposed to expire 11/30 but it worked for me. However, I do believe they have a 30% sale right now if it doesn't work. All sales are final. If you want the Heavenly bed you need to get the pillow top, not the plush top.

We are going with the Heavenly bed after trying the TempurPedic for 90 days and returning because it wasn't worth the $3000 we spent for it.

We had the same issue! We went to Denver MAttress because their beds have warranties - we are on our 4th one - it took us a few different models at first and if we were not happy they would keep taking it back. Now we have the Madison and we are on on second one - about 2 years into it I felt the "hump" and we called and they brought a new one. All you pay for is shipping
