Need Night Time Diaper Solution...

I have diapered my son with cloth diapers since he was 4 months old (with no blowouts), he is now 11 months and the last week has blown out his diaper 4 times (he has a bm as he wakes up in the morning....before we get him out of his bed) It is everywhere. I have used fuzzy bunz stuffed with a joey bunz (hemp), 1 prefold and a microfleece liner. This has been very successful for overnight until now. Last night I tried all these stuffers with a bummis wrap, but the same, blowout around the legs. Please help. I would prefer not to use disposables at night, just looking for a solution. Thanks!!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I decided I was overstuffing the diapers. Now my nighttime diaper is a prefold or microfiber stuffer with a hemp joeybunz triple folded in the front. No blow outs, no leaks! Thank you for your help!

If the suggestions you got from the other moms don't work, try Huggies Overnights diapers. I've been using them with my daughter for a long time, and I love them! Very rarely do I have to change her bed in the morning anymore, and she is often a morning pooper as well.

Is he close to needing a bigger size of diaper?
I use kissaluvs, so I am not familiar with Fuzzy Bunz, but for me the blowouts indicated that we needed to move up a size.

Have you changed anything in his diet? New foods? More table food instead of pureed? Giving him more food than usual before bed? Did you change his bedtime and now you are putting him to bed closer to the last feeding? Is he teething? If he is, is more than one tooth coming in? I would just try to answer these questions and any other questions you can come up with. Come up with more questions by thinking about what's all been going on the past week with him. And that might help you figure out what's so different about this past week. When my son was that age and got more than one tooth at a time he'd poop up a storm. He'd be pooping all day. (Not literally, but you get what I'm saying, hehe) Good Luck!

Huggies Overnites are the best. My daughter leaked with Pampers cruisers and baby dry but she's been using the huggies overnites for over 10 months now (she's 19 months now) and I've maybe had 1 or 2 leaks just becuz she had more to drink then normal

Have you tried a cover with a gusset? Like a Thirsties? Or the newer Bummis Super Brite? My boys are older so they rarely have explosive poop so I don't have a ton of suggestions, sorry. This may sound weird but does he need all of those layers in the FB? Is he a heavy wetter at night as well? If he's not so much a heavy wetter but has that bm before he gets up maybe you could try just double stuffing the FB so there's not such a gap between the diaper and his legs. Does that make sense? My boys both sleep in a Happy Heinys double stuffed with microfiber inserts. When my 17 month old was a lot younger we used a VBSN with wool or fleece over it and never had any problems.
