What about a day at the spa?! I think everyone would enjoy that. Get a massage, a mani and pedi. Usually, most spas offer discounts for groups larger than five. I don't know how many invites you will have, but that's always a fun option.

All of the women meet at a restaurant and share a meal. Have a leisurely dinner and say good bye to the ladies that do not want to participate and go have fun. For the party itself, barhopping is one thing but adding a scavenger hunt is another! Give the bride a list of things she has to have at the end of the night. Be creative. Of course for safety's sake do it in a group or groups. It is great fun! We had a list and on it was a pair of boxers (yes, my friend talked a man out of his boxers.) a book of matches from a irish pub, she had to drink at least half of a Guinness stout (with picture as proof)and other wacky things. When my daughter got married, I had what I affectionately called the "Blush Brigade" and was able to invite the circle of women closest to her. It was a ladies only gathering and it was a surprise for her. Shown below is the wording for the invite. We didn't limit it to lingerie or intimate fashions, but cologne and other things were fun gifts also.

And a few “things” that add spice to married life

The last two I went to we had a before party at a hotel and had rooms reserved for those who didn't want to try and go home. We got a bus from a limo service went downtown to the clubs and were pre paid before hand so we had our wrist bands for each club before we got there. We had fun only a handful of us stayed at the hotel.

Start it out by having a Lingerie Party, with light snacks, or maybe even at a restaurant. Everyone invited will bring the bride-to-be a piece of Lingerie, then whoever wants to hang out at the bars after can. Happy planning and have fun!!

For the pre Bachelorette part, have everyone gather together and give toasts and advice to the bride..

Start with the eldest and end with the single women.. You can use sparkling juices or champagne.. Be sure to record them or have someone write them down.. You could also have the married people to tell their funniest marriage story.. We all have them...

Spa day is always fun. Even getting your hair and nails done. Or you could do something fun. Fine one in Illinois on the internet...There are places you can make your own pottery...or paint existing pottery. Some one would need to pick them up or have everyone make something for the new couple. Like a fruit bowl they could always use. There are also places that you can paint your own picture. They have all the supplies. Check out the Chamber of Commerce to see what events they have there. Have fun.

Give a tasteful lingerie shower.

Bachelorette parties are always so much fun! I would suggest keeping the Before-Party kindof simple - maybea dinner or just snack foods...have everyone bring something for the new bride that they think is appropriate. Something fun we did at the last bridal shower I went to is when a guest walked in, they recieved a cut-out star and on the star they were instructed to write advice to the bride - these were attached to balloons so when you were mingling, you were reading the advice. It was very pretty since the balloons were in this case - pink and silver not to mention some of the advice was funny and some more serious...great conversation starter! What a wonderful time in your sister's life - enjoy it and I wish her all the best. She must have a great sister to fly out to Illinois and help with the wedding and events!! :-)

hire a stripper! a friend of mine did for my bachelorette party and it was definitely hilarious but yet entertaining...make sure it's okay with your fiance first though!

My bridesmaids planned for me a dinner first that the moms came to, then the younger ones went on our own. The first thing we did was pole dancing. They found a lady here in my town that has a pole set up in her house. It was a private party, just us. It was hilarious. I have never laughed so much so hard in my life. Then after that we went "clubbing". They had hired a limo, so we didn't have to worry about driving. We had drinks and jello shots in there.

For my sister's bachelorette party the girls had dinner at a restaurant before going out to party. You could book a restaurant and invite all the women who will not be going out later or have an appetizer get together at someone's home prior to going out. The dinner can be expensive where as the appetizers would be inexpensive and perhaps you could play some "wedding games". The older women might enjoy it.

We played a game similar to the newlewed game to see who new the bride best. Give the mom, maid of honor, future mom in law some index cards and a pen and ask things like "what's the bride's favorite color?" Have each person write down their answer, including the bride and then see who got it the same as the bride. The person who matches the most answers with the bride wins a prize. We let the people from the rest of the party pick the questions, but you could prepare a list ahead of time. Good luck.

When I got married, "my girls" threw me a lingere shower right before we went downtown for the bachelorette party. It was at a nice Italian restaurant, within walking distance to 6th street, where everyone paid for their own dinner and drinks. You could also choose a place that is casual to have appetizers and drinks, if she's a more casual kind of person. Believe it or not, my mom and aunt went with us downtown. They were the designated drivers and had a great time! For my girlfriend's bach. party, a hotel room was rented and they took the hotel shuttle down to 6th street. The lingere shower was in the hotel room with appetizers and drinks. All of the drinking girls stayed there for the night. Have fun with it!

And here are some of the Games...

Put a plunger between one lady's legs and have another hold a roll of TP. Make teams and the first to successfully get the roll onto the plunger with no hands wins.

Always popular is to ask questions about the bride that are embarassing. Where their first kiss was, stuff like that.

Make a dress for the bride game is a hoot. Make teams and give them Duct tape, Toilet Paper, Cotton balls and any other decorations you would like and they have to dress one person in the groop in what they think the brides dress should look like. It is usually very fun and when the guys do it you will laugh! The bride picks the winner.
