My daughter loves to pinch and hit, If i say ouch or no she just laughs. Nothing has worked so far and now she does it to get a reaction, im not sure how to stop this.

What can I do next?

My DD is 10 months as well, and has been starting this phase too. If she pinches or hits, I tell her 'we DON'T HIT! (or pinch, kick, whatever)' in a very stern voice, and immediately put her down and walk away from her. I still keep an eye on her, but she is very quickly learning that the behavior means no more mommy play time. I've only been doing it for about a week now, and there is a huge difference. :)

Just put her down gently-you are giving her the reaction she wants by saying ouch! Find other ways to make her laugh-and she will catch on.

Had the same problem with both of my kids. It isn't that she wants to hurt you, but she is likely misinterpreting what you are presenting as emotion.

I started intaking breath very quickly, like a gasp (almost a shriek), and then getting up and leaving the room. Both kids caught on very quickly, once they figured out it hurt.

When she does this walk into the other room w/o saying a word. She will stop after once or twice.

At this point, she probably thinks it is a game. She hits and you have a funny reaction every time. We are logical adults and know that ouch means it hurts but baby processes it as a funny sound. Teach her the proper way of doing things. Babies are experimental and need to learn how to do things to your liking. Tell her soft touches and take her hand and guide her to caress you rather than hit. Smile and be happy when she is caressing. She will see how much you like it and will opt for that more often. She she does hit, quickly correct her and remind her of the soft touch. If she continues to hit, move away from her. She will realize hitting is not play. This is how baby pups learn their strength. When they hurt someone, their sibling moves away and does not play.
Also, distracting her with something new helps in tough cases. :)

She is too young to understand really what ouch means. I would immediately put her down and give her attention if she hits or pinches. That way she will start connecting the idea of if I pinch or hit I will not get attention, and hopefully she will stop.

If she wants a reaction, then stop giving her one.

Can't do much to discipline a 10 month old. I used to say nice touch or gentle touch while showing them what I meant. The only other thing I used to do was turn them so they'd be facing away from me while I held them so I couldn't be hit anymore.

Babies, do not have impulse control.
They don't have it developed yet.
Full-impulse control is not even fully developed in a Toddler.

I used to say WE don't hit/pinch/whatever and as Red said below put her down... I tell her I don't want to hold you if you are going to hurt me. It stopped after a few weeks. My daughter would laugh if I said no or ouch too lol, she started up again (2 yrs) and had to basically do this same thing except I don't have to put her down (she's already down :P) so I walk away where I can still watch her, she's almost stopped now. She thought it was funny at 2 also, when I said owie or ouch.
