Hi Friends,

My 7 months old baby got mucous in his throat but nose is clear no signs of cold. I can hear loud wheezing sound when he breathes. Could anyone please let me know what has to be done to clear the mucous and at the same time foods that has to be avoided in this situation.

Thanks

So What Happened?

Hi all,
Thanks for the suggestions. I have already consulted Pediatrician and he has suggested Benadryl equivalent to Infants. But it did not work out. Using nasal drops to make him sleep better in inclined position. Could anyone suggest what solid foods and liquid juices should be avoided in order to minimise the mucous in his throat.
Thanks

R.,
I would really call your pediatrician for some advice. Is it REALLY loud?
Have you tried running a cool mist humidifier in his room at night?
Prop up the top two legs of his crib to promote drainage.
Good luck!

It could be allergies, or asthma...or nothing and just little lungs growing. I'd keep a log of what he's eating for a day or two, with notes if it seems to get worse and take him in to be seen.

It may be allergies but I would definitely give your pediatrician a call.
