Mother's Day Presents for Other Moms

so my friends are throwing me a baby shower in two weeks... this is my second so our "tradition" is to have more of a girls night out with number two instead of a traditional shower... gifts tend to me gift certificates to spas, starbucks or whatever.. not necessarily baby centered since we all tend to have what we need already and we all swap and share baby gear/clothes anyway.

anyway, I am so thankful to have my little circle of friends... and since the day after the shower is mother's day... I wanted to get them a little gift as a thank you for throwing me a shower/girls night out. any ideas?

What can I do next?

I'm just going to add on to Aletha's response. There is a wine called Mommy's Time Out. It is a perfect gift for moms, and it's only 8 dollars for a bottle. I get it at Mayfair liquor off of 14th and Krameria.

What mom doesn't drink wine? There are some really nice bottles for $7-8 a piece, just ask the salesperson at the store.

I gave all my sister-in-laws a mothers day gift last two years ago...I have 6 sis-in-laws plus a mother-in-law. I went to target and bought 7 of their cute little tin buckets they have for $1. I filled each bucket with some crepe paper that you fill easter baskets with. I bought each person a candybar and went to The Body Shop and bought their little body butters for $6 each. So it was around $8 for each person, but they really liked them. I tied a ribbon around the bucket. They turned out super cute!

I love giving purse sized lotions or hand sanitizer. Bath & Body Works always has their latest scent on a dirt-cheap sale & even the older scents are fairly inexpensive. If you've got the money-or few girlfriends you're going out with-maybe a bigger bottle of lotion or bubble bath for each. Get different scents, put them all in pretty tissue paper so they can't see what's inside & whatever they unwrap is what they get. Different scents gives them the chance to swap too-there are ones I can't stand & I wouldn't want to get stuck w/a big version of them.
If you're strapped for cash, how about a picture of all of you together in pretty frames for each of them? 4x6 frames are relatively cheap, as is photo printing at nearly everywhere.

Hi M.-

Just a thought for you forMother's day gifts, what about a plant or potted flowers or something like that, most women love flowers, hope that helps..good luck with your baby!

I am not sure what would be fitting as gifts for your friends, but I am making votive roses to give to the moms of all the kids in my daughters kindergarten class. They are "roses" made from candle votives that smell like flowers.

Have a GREAT day!
