Make over? Soungs like surgery....many friends have had this, make sure you ask about the recovery time and side effects.

Hi Ladies,
I am going to schedule to have a mommy makeover done, and wanted to know if anyone has done one? I will be getting a tummy tuck and a lift on the boobies. I know about the procedure, but want to hear from those that have done it and what the recovery was like. How long were you down for? Thanks!
Thank you ladies for all your helpful responses! I am giving this surgery a lot of thought. I have a 1 year old and a 4 year old, so I need to consider them. I will for sure be having the surgery the question is when? I may wait until my youngest is a little older and does not need to be held so much. Anyway, I will let everyone know what I decide. Thanks again! -Steph

Hi there,
This is the opposite of what you asked, but I couldn't help myself, had to share it with you. I think it's a great site.
In case you are on the fence, this might change your mind, or might make you sure you do want to go ahead with the surgeries. :) Whatever you decide, I hope you are happy with your body in the end.
I posted a question forever ago about tummy tucks and got GREAT responses, you might want to go back and check it out :) I'm still waiting for my money tree to blossom so I can get my tummy done, LOL!! Good luck :)
You might see if you can find the episode of Jon & Kate Plus 8 online where she had her tummy tuck done years ago. It was a cringe-inducing episode, that's for sure. Made me willing to live with the extra tummy skin.
my sister just had this and the recovery was hard...my mom had to stay over there for 2 and a half weeks because you aren't supposed to lift ANYTHING during that whole time, and I think very limited what you can do until the 6 week mark - couldn't drive or anything those first weeks. As long as you are on drugs (vicadin), you shouldn't be alone with your kids, unless they are older. And you have to sleep sitting up for about a week and just moving any part of your body the first 2 weeks is painful and difficult. Hopefully your kids are older and you have help (if you had a c-section it's like that but longer recovery and a little more painful.)
let me know when you go - maybe we can get a 2 for one! ;)
My friend got a boob enlargement - not a lift - 2 weeks of major discomfort.
You should look into the new laser proceedure that freezes your tummy fat - -no drugs or down time and the fat melts off over about 2-3 months. I'm saving up for that one right now!
