If money wasn't an issue, would you get plastic surgery and what would you have done? If you would NOT have anything done, I'd like to hear why as well. :)
I would also have some scarring removed from my face from a car accident and get this bulbous "thing" (for lack of a better word) off of my left leg from the same car accident. I think I have a beautiful face so I wouldn't change anything else (eye lift, eyebrows, lips, cheeks ect)....just the scars!

I'd get a lift on my breasts. I love every part of my body, but it'd be awesome to not wear a bra in the house and not be able to tell that pregnancy has ruined my once "perky" chest lol. But only if money wasn't an issue and I could get the top serious about his/her work doctor.

Absolutely not, if you have an imperfection embrace it. My mother is very confident and happy person, I got the same bug. Some of my friends have done few things here and there. It has changed them, but they are still unhappy. Two of them regret it, its phycological. In my opinion, plastic surgery does a huge emotional damage. Not to mention the physical recovery part, too scary. Sorry, not for me.
I gained 180lbs when I was pregnant (medical issues, unfortunately that wasn't from cheesecake and chicken wings! sniff. Didna even get to enjoy the climb). I'm carrying 25lbs of SKIN on my belly (kills my back, makes it difficult to bend). My uterus was carrying apx 40lbs when I was pregnant. To get an idea of what I looked like pregnant google image 'quardruplet belly'.
My nose was broken 3 times in one year, and ever since they I snore. And I can only half fill my lungs with air breathing through my nose. Apparently it's a really simple 10 minute fix to rebreak it and reassemble it in the shape it's supposed to be in.
The extra skin from my inner thighs and arms is purely cosmetic.
The LASIK is for swimming. I'm -4.75 in one eye and -5.00 in the other. Without my contacts, I soooooo can't see. It's worse than opening your eyes underwater.
________
The tummy tuck is what scares me the most, although it's also the one I want the most... because it's really major surgery and carries the most risk attached to it. The other 3 are fairly simple.

Well, if money were no object... I would get myself into a bunch of good exercise classes, eat wayyy better (more organic foods, etc.)-- and that would be that. I would be afraid to cross over that line into plastic surgery. For one thing, it just seems to postpone the inevitable. And, for another, while I am not entirely comfortable with all the things aging brings to my body, I want to learn to embrace it and be comfortable in it. When I was young, I was bothered by being gawked at by young men. I don't get that anymore and, yet, it feels comforting to be accepted for who I am. The people who do pay attention to me are the ones who matter the most. It is a lesson I want to learn.

I would not have elective plastic surgery unless I'd had some sort of accident and was disfigured or I had some condition that interfered with my quality of life. The reason I wouldn't get surgery is because I look great just the way I am. I think getting unnecessary surgery is indicative of low self-esteem and will do more harm than good. Look at how Michael Jackson and that Cat-faced woman turned out.

No. I would not have plastic surgery on any part of me even though there's certainly a lot here to keep a surgeon busy for a while. Because I have a husband who adores me and 3 kids depending on me to mother them, for me it would be taking unnecessary risk with my life and health. Plus, despite my determination to give birth without drugs of any kind, I REALLY HATE pain. There's a lot good old diet and exercise can do for my health that surgery never could.
I used to assist in surgery of various types. Countless times I heard doctors use an explicative or utter an "oops" and everyone in the OR knew things were going south. That was enough to make me think twice before ever going under the knife. Nurse Midwife Mom

Absolutely! I am saving to get a breast augmentation when I get back to my ideal weight in the fall. Not getting huge tits just implants so that my jugs don't hang down to my knee caps. I hate putting on my bra one leg at a time ;o) . If I had the extra cash I would get a tummy tuck, not for the weight ( I only have about 20 lbs left to loose) but so that I don't have all the stretch marks. I think plastic surgery is fine as long as you are doing it for yourself and not for anyone else. I want to to it so that I feel sexy naked and I want that for me, so that I can be comfortable. No one else.
I should add that I have had rhynoplasty (nose) surgery and maxifacial (jaw) surgery ALTHOUGH these were both required because I was a total klutz as a kid and broke my nose 4 times and I couldn't breathe properly. As a result, my upper jaw shifted so I could breathe out of my mouth and both needed corrective changes. I did have c-sections as well so I am aware of healing and the dangers of surgery. I do believe that you should NEVER jump into it and you can't expect perfection. Weigh out all of your options, see 2-3 different surgeons and be informed about your surgery and it's risks.

No way, I hate the idea of surgery for any reason other than absolutely medically necessary. I am a baby when it comes to that sort of thing. The idea of a surgeon cutting me open is scary to me; I would have surgery if I absolutely had to, but never for cosmetic reasons (unless maybe I was severely disfigured in an accident or something). Plus I'm really paranoid about something could go wrong. I know, probably nothing would go wrong, but it wouldn't be worth the risk to me, no matter how tiny.

j/k I would love a tummy tuck and a breast enlargement but I will never do it. I am trying to embrace what the good Lord gave me and my parent's genes. Although mom is a D cup so what the heck?? Do boobs skip a generation??
I just think we need to try our best to love our bodies the way they are and do all we can with diet and exercise to help. I have seen close friends have augmentation done...and really it is psychological...nothing is good enough.
My two cents

Yes, I would have as much work done to strengthen my ab's that were destroyed by pregnancy. I would have a breast reduction and have perky ones again with nips that don't point down. So many raunchy jokes come to mind at this point....LOL.
I would do a tummy tuck, a chin suck and tuck, arms sucked and tucked (I have to buy clothes several sizes to big to get my upper arms in them), and maybe even more. If money was no object maybe I'd live at a fat farm and need a whole body lift.

yes, I did infact back on May 27th...I had a tummy and side tuck....have lost about 80 lbs in the last two years and my lower tummy was a floppy mess of excess skin that was embarrassing to me, especially in intimate times with my hubby...it really had to be done. It would be nice to have my boobs perked back up but I can live with them and just use a really good bra to make my shape in that area nice under my clothes...I never thought I'd have a urgery like that but my husband was very encouraging that if it would make me feel better about myself, then I had his blessing to spend the $8500 to have it done...just feel I'm way too young (39) to go through the rest of my life feeling so embarrassed about what my lower tummy looked like

Nope. Not unless I was in some horrible accident and really disfigured or something. Not worth all the risks and pain and recovery. You're only going to keep aging and everything will keep sagging and what not again making all of it worthless and you have to go back to keep it up.
The only elective surgery that is even remotely tempting is Lasiks for my eyes because I'm sick of glasses and contacts aren't an option for me. But I can't even get myself to honestly think past the hum..maybe..no never mind stage on that. I'm not sure that counts as plastic surgery though.

Not plastic surgery, but maybe permanent hair removal or a series of expensive facials. I don't my mind figure or my face. They've been pretty good to me. My skin is my problem.
I don't think women should get plastic surgery for self-esteem sake. It doesn't work. You have to know that you're loved and lovable in yourself. But if a certain trait is just annoying or if it threatens your health like too much adipose tissue around the waist, then by all means, take care of it.

I wouldn't get plastic surgery, but I would get non-evasive treatments such as this laser treatment whereby they put it under your chin and it's suppose to help you make more collagen and hence, underneath your chin becomes tighter.. (I saw it on Dr. Oz) it looked interesting. Additionally, I would perhaps have some broken capillaries on my face removed.. right now, I use makeup to cover them up..

Like some of your other answers, if I knew for sure there'd be no complications, infections, etc., then I absolutely would have a whole bunch of stuff done!. I certainly don't need bigger breasts (I'm a DD now), but I'd like them back to my normal full C size & put back up where they're supposed to be. I'd also have a tummy tuck after the c-section, maybe my saddle bags & my double chin, so all body stuff, no face stuff.

My OB even just told me he wished he would've done more of a tummy tuck with this last c-section since my skin is so over stretched. I even just got a yeast infection under that lovely flap of skin.
