Is it spotting for 2 weeks or heavy period like bleeding? Do you have pain? Swelling? Is this your normal period time? If you feel like it's a little much just call and talk to a nurse, they will give you a better idea!
My Dr instructed me to use my birth control pills to stop my cycle. He did mention that I may experience "break through" bleeding and that's normal. When it was time for my cycle to start, I did spot a little and I thought OK this may work. But I've been "breaking through" for about two weeks now and it's gotten heavier. Is two weeks normal, or should I try to get an appointment?
Thanks for the responses. I called my Dr and found out it is normal to have "break through bleeding" for up to a couple of months and to just keep taking the pills. Yes, I just skip the placebos. Hopefully, it will stop soon.

Yes it's normal, I've bled for up to a month at a time with breakthrough bleeding. It will go away the longer you are on the pill.
Can you email your doctor or his/her nurse? If not, call and speak to the nurse and ask for her to talk to the doctor and get back to you whether or not you need an appointment. Tell the nurse that you don't understand what's going on with your period(s) and you need some help.

Are you taking the pills one pack after the other skipping the placebos?
When I went on Seasonale there was a little spotting here and there, once being what could be considered a very light period for after six months that stopped.
go ahead and call your dr. depending on the pill it can be normal. when i had the depo shot i had a period for the whole time until my next shot... now im on a pill that doesnt flucuate and the first 2 months i bled quite a bit more but now it has leveled off. just call and give them a heads up so they can mark it in your chart
