A good friend is coming to town and wants to meet for lunch Saturday - she'll be in the Garland/Rowlett area (off Roan Road near the interstate). Where is a nearby place good for lunch? Any tea rooms?? Thanks! Also - do you know if it will be open July 5?

Go out to The Harbor on Lake Ray Hubbard. There are a variety of restaraunts and bakeries. There is shopping and a movie theater. It is really neat with very pretty views.

Not sure of any tea rooms in the area, but there is a a few restuarants in the Rockwall area on Lake Ray Hubbard. There is also SaltGrass, just near the Ridge Road/ I-30 service road. If I remember correctly, I believe the lunch menu is offered on Saturday's until around 4 or 5pm.

The Harbor is a great place for lunch and a visit while window shopping in some great boutiques. Celebrity Restaurant on the Harbor has "tea room" like food (sandwiches, salads, etc.) and the view is lovely. There is an actual Tea Room in Rockwall at the corner of 205 and Ralph Hall next to La Hacienda Car Wash, but I forget the name. If you don't want to come out that far, Primo's in Garland on Bass Pro Drive has good food and a great view of Lake Ray Hubbard.
