No hospital can turn you away just because you dont have insurance- the only thing is the cost. Most will want your visit paid in full before they release any medication or prescription (even samples of meds)
I am w/o Insurance as well, and was looking for a Dr to work with me on a payment plan. I found this one:
Kathryn M Hood. She is in Garland near beltline and garland rd (1130 beltline rd st 175 garland) and her number is ###-###-####. Good luck to you!
Planned Parenthood will see you without insurance and will sometimes work on a sliding scale if money is tight. Also, I live in Dallas so Parkland hospital is where everyone goes if they don't have insurance. Is there something like that in Mesquite?
I hope that that helps!

There is a clinic in Rockwall that gives free pregnancy test and also counseling. I went there with my last child and these ladies are great....
they are off of hwy 66 crossing over lake ray hubbard near downtown rockwall. you can email me and i can check into the name for you... but i think it is called the pregnancy clinic. no insurance, no cash, just walk in..
IMO the pregnancy tests are pretty accurate. When I was trying to get pregnant the doctor told me that they go by the pregnancy test and don't repeat any other test in the clinic to confirm pregnancy. Maybe its a little late and you are panicking for no reason?
Planned Parenthood should be able to help you.
Planned Parenthood will see you, thier rates vary. You can also go to a primacare or similar and the average is $80 for an office visit. Or you can call Parkland and see what they offer, I'm pretty sure they have a free clinic.
Good luck!
Planned Parenthood (in the phone book)
did you have a negative pregnancy test with either of your first two children? those things are pretty accurate, and if it says negative, I'd bet you're not pregnant. you might test once more to be sure. I have a "ghost" cycle once a year, where I just don't have a period.
I know you're worried, but really the home tests are the same basic urine test that they give you at the doctor. Here's some advice to get a positive result if the hormone levels are still low.
1) Drink water to thirst, but don't overdo the water intake as it can dilute the urine and any hormone still in there.
2) Take the test with the first morning urine as it is the most concentrated and the most likely to give you a positive if you are pregnant.
3) I know this is a frantic time, but it's possible to miss a period due to stress alone. I'd wait until your insurance kicks in before seeing a doctor. Another reason to wait is because some health insurance carriers will claim pregnancy to be a pre-existing condition if it is confirmed by a doctor before you are actually covered. So even if you get a positive on your HPT, wait for the insurance to kick in before making the appointment.
Any doctor should see you without insurance, you will just be out-of-pocket for the office visit and the lab work.
You could try Planned Parenthood. I know they used to go off of your salary to determine cost, not sure about now but it's worth a shot.

I'm sure that the Pregnancy Resource Center in Rockwall could help you. I've heard wonderful things about this clinic.
From the Mesquite area, you would take 30E to Rockwall. Exit Dalrock and go west like going to Rowlett. At the intersection of Dalrock and Hwy 66, take a right onto Hwy 66 and continue on until you cross the bridge into Rockwall. Go through the first light (Lakeshore) and before you go up a slight hill there are a group of office type buildings(brown wooden) on the right hand side of the road. I believe the PRC is on the end closest to Hwy 66. I apologize for not having their phone number handy but if you have any other questions please feel free to email me and I will do what I can to help.

I had the same issue. Most places wanted $3000 up front. But I found Dr. Kala Dharma in Mesquite. She only charged $75 for my visit and she accepts all insurances when you do get it. I used her for both my pregnancies and I love her! ###-###-####.
Hope this helps.
Have you tried Planned Parenthood? There is one at Galloway and Town East in the shopping center in front of Babys R US. There is also a clinic called The White Rose off 75 and Fitzhugh in East Dallas that used to do a Pregnancy test for free. Not sure if it is still free.
Most physicians will do a payment plan if you are not insured. If you already have an ob/gyn contact their office and ask about the payment plan.
Since I also don't have insurance but still need to see someone for my annual exam and the like, I go to Planned Parenthood. You should be able to find one near you and the prices are very reasonable.
