Looking for a Pediatrician - Garland,TX

Dr. Sonnen is the BEST!! I have an 8 year old & a 6 year old. We started seeing Dr. Sonnen when my daughter was two weeks old. He's very informative and has kids of his own. (Very important!) He is well educated and I respect him greatly!

I normally do not like to be negative, but when the health of children is at stake...I don't mind! I, as well as, several other parents that I have had close contact with, have had bad experiences with Dr. Ianelli. My son was Developmentally Delayed and Dr. Ianelli DID NOT SPOT THE OBVIOUS!!! He kept insisting that I had "First Time Mother Syndrome". When my son was nine months old and NOT sitting up on his own, Dr. Ianelli told me and my mother-in-law that he was just going to be a late bloomer!! I feel that Dr. Ianelli robbed my son of precious time that could have been spent in physical therapy.

My son was 18 months old when I took my daughter for her two week old checkup with Dr. Sonnen. I had not told Dr. Sonnen's office about the condition of my son so that I could see if Dr. Sonnen would notice anything out of the ordinary about him. When Dr. Sonnen walked through the door, the first thing that he said was, "I know that you are here about your newborn but after I finish with her, I would like to discuss what is going on with your little guy there. Okay?" We have been with him ever since. My kids like him. I like him & my mother-in-law likes him. Enough said.

I highly recommend Dr. Laura Chinn who is in practice with Dr. Kurt Pfeliger (whom I've not had experience with) at Rockwall Pediatrics. I used to go to Lake Ray Hubbard Pediatrics (that has already been mentioned with Dr. Ianelli) and loved our Doctor, but she moved away & none of the other doctors had room to take us, so you might have problems getting in there. Incidentally, I have friends that go to Dr. Ianelli & love him, and also Dr. Cramer and love her. Rockwall Pediatrics is a smaller practice so does have slightly more limited hours (1/2 day Fridays) but Dr.Chinn is excellent; always seems to have time to talk, answers all your questions even if they seem minor, NEVER rushes in & out, and is tender and caring with my daughter. I also love the office staff (which I can't say about Lake Ray Hubbard Peds). Their office is in a medical building off 30 & Ridge road in Rockwall & the number is ###-###-####. I love my pediatrician, she is Dr. Carla Cole ###-###-#### in Garland, right behind Baylor Garland but she also works at Children's and at Medical City. After 3 kids I can tell you she is very nice and good. Good luck.

I lived there, too! We live in Rowlett now and have a wonderful pediatrician. Her name is Dynal London; she's located on Scenic Road, right next to Lake Pointe Medical Center in Rowlett (Rockwall County). I've never had a problem getting an appointment, even when my kids are sick. She's very caring, and has two young daughters herself. Her number is ###-###-####. Hope this helps!

I live in rowlett. My two year old ped is Dr. Vincent Iannelli, he is great!! He is off of Lakeview parkway in rowlett. He makes my daughter and especially us! comfortable. They are great for sick appts...Love this peds office!!!! He is all over the internet. Look him up!

I couldn't recommend Dr Andrea Cramer with any more enthusiasm than as if she were my own mother. She has been our pediatrician for over 14 years. I have a 16 year old and a 12 year old. I once wrote her a note that said something like this:
Dear Dr Cramer
You get me an appointment as soon as I need it and I dont have to wait long.
You call me back, personally, when I page you, even on Christmas Eve, twice.
My kids always get well after they see you. 100% of the time.
And you are frank and honest and I never feel rushed out of the office because someone is waiting on you.
What more could I ask for from you?

I worked at a large daycare facility for three years and saw hundreds of children each day go through many doctors visits with repeated visits and little results. Not the ones who see her. She knows what shes doing.

The only thing I've ever heard in the negative is that her bedside manner could use some work. I have always found her to be sweet and kind and informative. Maybe her direct and frank nature puts people off. If it does, its a small price to pay for the quality care you receive.
