Diagnostic Clinic (McMullen Booth north of 580) has a great group of ped's, but for a specialist in allergies, Stephen Kornfeld (19 N & Highland Lakes) is the one to see (rated one of America's top allergists/immunologists).
Hello again. Does anyone know of a pediatrician/pediatric group in the 10 mile radius of Palm Harbor? I'm looking for a place that understands children with food allergies. I also want a group that is not swamped with patients. I don't have the patience to sit for more than a half hour for a doctor.

My kids go to North Pinellas Childrens Medical Center. They're located behind Outback on US19. I don't know how they are with food allergies because my kids don't have food allergies. BUt you could set up an appointment with them just to talk to them. We did that when we moved to this area and were looking for a pediatrician. They were extremely nice and helpful. THey came highly recommended by several people.
As far as other patients, they do have a pretty strict policy. If you're more than 10 minutes late, they require you to schedule another appointment. I'm usually in and out within 30 minutes (that includes seeing the doctor). The only time it took longer was when both of my kids were getting a physical and when my son was getting breathing treatments.
We're with Dr. Klein, but have seen other doctors. I would highly recommend any of them. He does not rush us out. He always takes time to answer any questions or any concerns. My dd went through some stomach issues and he didn't hesitate to jump right on it with further testing. My kids love him too.
We go to Savel and Kelly and love them. They are open every day of the year and have walk-in appointments from 6:30-7:15 am every morning. We've never waited more than 5 minutes to get in to see the doctor.
Their website is http://savelkellymds.com/ - they have offices in Clearwater and Oldsmar.
I have been very pleased with North Pinellas Children's as another mom said. I see Dr. Sawka, very nice. Have been pleased with all aspects, quick return calls from nurses when you have questions, in and out of office visits within 30 min also.
I bring my son to East Lake Pediatrics, they have one office on East Lake Road in the medical plaza next to Target and another right on the corner of Little Rd & Mitchell in Trinity. I live in Oldsmar and I do occasionally get an appointment in the Trinity office and it is not that far to go. I can usually call and get an appointment the day of or next day if my son is sick or something. The doctors are great and they have a Nurse Practitioner, Jen, who only works in Trinity, but, she came from working at the GI clinic at All Children's. Dr. Amy also did all of her residency/fellowship at All Children's. She also a Master's degree in public health besides her DO. I love both doctors, Dr. Amy and Dr. Mike as well as Jen. They are great with my son who has severe reflux, we have gone through multiple medications and formulas trying to fix the problem, turns out that he has a milk protein allergy! I highly recommend them and have referred multiple people to their office. They also came highly recommended by my OB/GYN. I like them because they are younger and seem to be able to get on a comfort level with both the adults and kids, which is why they go by their first names. I made an appointment when I was pregnant just to meet them before I chose doctors and they were more than happy to set aside an appointment block to show me around and answer any questions!
The Diagnostic Clinic is great. They have an office on McMullen Booth. My boys see Dr. Terri Hagan, but Dr. Vivator is great also!!
I dont know who you currently use. I have been with North Pinellas Childerns Medical Center since my kids were born.
My kids see Dr. Janet Black. She is a wonderful woman, and has a child of her own. My son has had severe allergies since he was born, and is literally allergic to almost everything. I could not ask for a better group of doctors. I have a 10 & 9 year old that are only 10 months and 6 days apart, I understand not wanting to wait around in a dr. office. This office has about 10-13 dr's staffed and I have never had a bad experience with any of them. Dr. Black is usually in the area off of East Lake Rd. But they also have one right behind Outback Steakhouse on 19 in Palm Harbor. The number for The East Lake office is ###-###-####, they can give you the number to the one in Palm Harbor.
Good Luck.

hi nadine, i live in palm harbor as well and we go to pediatric specialist. they're in trinity. there are 3 dr's and a nurse practioner. you can stick with one dr or interchange. i love them all so i never mind who i see. we always get in right away and we've never waited for more then a half hour. the phone number is ###-###-####.
Dr. Jay Harvey in Eastlake (right in front of Eastlake High School) is AWESEOME! We fired our original Dr b/c of long waits and bad running of the office. We are in and out in 1 hour on adverage, never been there longer than 1 1/2 hours and he is SO SO good with kids. I highly recommend him! They run the office under the name Pediatric Healthcare Alliance. My son doesn't have allergies so I am not sure on this aspect...
