We have friends in Birmingham who sent their children to Bloomin' Tots/Kids. They spoke VERY highly of it: http://bloominkids.bloomfield.org
Dear Mamas,
My family and I are relocating to MI in about a month's time. It is a sudden move so am trying to get everything ready/organized in a short time frame. We are looking for good preschools for our 3.5 year old daughter. Someone mentioned the Bloomfield Hills Montessori? Does anyone have any advice on that school? Recommendations on other options?
Thanks,
J.

I see that someone already mentioned Greenfield Elementary in Birmingham - my daughter goes there now (the preschool program for 4 year-olds), and it's excellent. In fact, all of the Birmingham elementary buildings run some sort of preschool program, so it might be worth looking into the one(s) close to where you'll be living.

Try looking at St.Stephens Co-op Preschool on Adams Road in Troy - small classes, very reasonable prices and great teachers too. They have a web page...
My pastor's wife is the director at Whitney Bloomfield Learning Center. Here is the website so you can learn more about the learning center and the personnel. The website address is www.whitneybloomfield.com. I do know that they recently purchased new playground equipment so it is all up to date to federal standards. I helped dig up the old playground equipment. The school is located just west of Orchard Lake on Pontaic Trail. Best of luck to find a great school. Whitney Bloomfield Learning Center has programs for Infants thru kindergarten with a Montessori Based Learning Program.
We adore Little Lambs at Christ Church Cranbrook. Classes are small and the teachers and director are fabulous. Also, all the meals are included in tuition along with 2 weeks of vacation per year. We have have been really pleased there! www.littlelambsccc.org Kristen Farrar is the Director and is a life-long resident of Bloomfield and Birmingham.
We have been very happy with Greenfield Elementary in Birmingham. Great program and great people!
You should check out Midvale Early Childhood Center in Birmingham - it is part of the top-rated Birmingham school system. All teachers have early childhood degrees and it is NAEYC accredited. We have had good experiences and are very happy thus far (our son has been there about 1 1/2 years) - they also have a summer option (extended year) if you need that. There are different options for the amount of preschool you need - from 3 to 5 days a week, 6 to 11 hours per day. Cathy Heller is the director. Good luck (and easy packing) with your move!
My daughter attended Beautiful Savior Early Learning Center on Adams Road in Bloomfield Township. Lovely people, nice facility, but what I enjoyed most was the flexibility to choose her schedule. They're not rigid like most programs where you have to go M,W,F or T,Th kind of thing. The director is Dawn Weise, ###-###-####.
Good luck and welcome to Michigan! L.
