Looking for Pediatrician Who Won't Require Vaccinations- in Fort Lauderdale Area

Hi, I have a pediatrician in Sunrise, Dr. Lourdes Alamo of Pediatric Associates, who doesn't pressure us to get vaccinations (what we are looking for), but we want to leave her (for reasons unrelated to this) and are looking for another pediatrician in the Sunrise/Plantation/Davie or surrounding area. Does anyone see a doctor and know that they are ok with children not getting vaccinated or using an alternative schedule? Ideally, this doctor will be friendly, educated, experiences, holistic in their approach and seek alternative or recommend alternative therapy in addition to western medicine. Would really appreciate any names/contacts. Thank you!

So What Happened?

Thanks everyone, I will check into your dr. recommendations and I don't have a problem with pediatric associates, so I'll check out the one on Broward too. You've been very helpful and what a relief to get some mom-advice! As for Dr. Lourdes, I think she is too busy and doesn't ask enough questions or go into enough specifics when looking at your child. My first child is 3 and she was easy. . .never anything wrong, not even an ear infection, so maybe she thinks my second child is like that! Turns out, I had to point out a large bump I noticed on her head for months (had been to 3 well baby checkups and not once did she comment on it) and also, my baby has torticollis (weakened neck muscles on one side that the physical therapist was surprised my doctor never saw or recognized because the PT now is much more difficult than if we had caught it earlier.) These are things I would expect my dr. to know about. . .and it worries me. I feel like she glosses over her inspection of my baby and doesn't really look at her. I need a dr. who is not so busy to only give 5 minutes and then move on. I feel so disappointed, but know it is time to move on, for us. You may have a different relationship, but for us, it is time to look elsewhere. THank you all again!!

I do not vaccinate my kids at the time and they respect my wishes; they are Dr Donald Marcus and Dr. Michael Freimark. They are wonderful and have been written up in one of the family magazines.

I really like them. ###-###-####

Drs Sash and Dharmappa in Plantation
Pediatric Associates is a MALpractice. Stay away from all their offices unless you can go to Coral Springs and see Dr. Restler.

Is the reason you're leaving related to Pediatric Associates? If you want to stay with Ped. Assoc., I go to their office on Broward Blvd in Plantation and Dr. Teresa Santos is very good and gives me no problems with selectively vaccinating my kids.
