Hi,
We have just moved to the area and the moms on here recommended Pediatric Associates to me. They have offices all over and I have found them to b very good.

I know I may be in fantasy land, but this is what I am looking for in a pediatrician. I know I may not find all but willing to take 4 out of 6
1. Breastfeeding Supportative
2. Willing to take the time to listen and discuss concerns
3. Willing and open to delay of vaccines
4. Not have to wait for more than 30 minutes(I know I am really dreaming now)
5. Quick emergency appointment (which I know will be hard with a smaller office)
6. A doctor I can call and speak with directly

i am the third mom to strongly recomend dr. lourdes ALAMO is sunrise.
she is great...sometimes you do have a wait when she is very busy but its worth it.

I see Dr. Silverburg in Plantation with West Broward Pediatrics (same as the mommy below who sees Dr. Morrison) ###-###-####. Breastfeeding supportive, very patient with new mommy questions, always fit you in and willing to delay vaccines. My daughter is on a slower schedule (she's five months). We only get two a month (instead of four) and she has not had Polio or Hep yet. They are not supportive of not vaccinating at all, but open to delayed. I have been really happy with them and I usually don't wait more than 5 minutes.
Hello J.,
If you find a pediatrician with all of those attributes please let me know!!! However, I have found one that is 4 out of the 6 that you have asked for and his name is Dr. Juan Martinez in Weston. His telephone number is ###-###-####. I can tell you with absolute certainty that he is more than willing to take the time to listen to and address any concerns that you may have. Having said that though, because he takes time with all of his patients the likelihood of a long wait is great. One hint - try to be the first appointment in the morning or afternoon. Finding a pediatrician is a very personal thing as well - I also suggest interviewing them to see if they are what you are looking for and more importantly what your child needs.
Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well I think my son's ped meets all your needs. Her name is Lourdes Alamo through Pediatric Assoc. She has called me back upon request, she loves my son and the wait is not bad at all. (Sunrise office) I've been there on ER visit asap and my son is not vaccined. You also have the option to after hour urgent care if necessary but she is my favorite. Hope this helps. L. G/Tamarac.
Hi,
Ok, I see Dr. Mizrachy at west Broward pediatrics and he is AMAZING!! ###-###-#### Weston or Plantation ###-###-####. He is all for breastfeeding as I did for 13 months exclusively and he takes his time when he is in the room with you. We never wait more than 15 minutes or so and have add emergency visits which they are open on Saturdays too. From reading the posts all 4 docotrs in this practice are great. Best of luck finding the one that fits for your family. A.
I will agree with Pediatric Associates. I go to the Hollywood office but they are all over. Offer great services, are breastfeeding champions (La Leche League)and available for emergencies. Have spoken to nurse or doctor, anytime I needed something urgent. I see Dr. Ginsberg, very patient and follows parents wishes, ie delay of vaccines, etc.
Best of luck!
Hi J.,
I have your dream doctor. She is Dr. Lourdes Alamo at Pediatric Associates in Sunrise ###-###-####). She meets all your requirements (though at busy times, you may wait more than 30 minutes, but it's not often). I interviewed her for the job before my son was born and we've been with her for over 4 years and 2 kids.
Good Luck,
S.
Dr. Donald Marcus and Dr. Michael Freemark have a few offices. I really like them overall. You are the parent and tell them what you are doing.
I have breastfed my son for over two years and I'm not big on vaccines.
They have done what's best for my son.
Also, they are good at emergencies. If my son has anything like a sniffle, they will tell me whether I should come in and they are great at getting back to you if it's after hours.
Their telephone # is ###-###-####.
Children's Mecial Center 12251 Taft Street ###-###-####
7 days a week appt. Emergency visits on weekends.
They also have an office in Hollywood.
Pembroke office - Dr Levine (sense of humor is a bit dry but is supportive - old school)
Hollywood office - Carol (nurse Practisioner - wonderful lady, takes the time to know you, your children and never in a hurry) I love them both.
I have NEVER waited more than 20 minutes. Never.
I have 3 childrens, 13g, 11b, and 6b.
Good luck
i'm quite happy with dr. morrison at west broward pediatrics. i'm still breastfeeding my 1 year old, i always bombard him with questions at visits and he takes the time to talk with me, never had a long wait, and although i've never tried to call and speak to him directly, they do always have a nurse on call you can talk to. good luck :)
