I need some networking mama wisdom:) Does anyone know of a good place to have a birthday party for a 2 year old? I did Gymboree last year and loved it. It's hard to find a place that caters to young children. All your responses will be greatly appreciated. I am all out of ideas. note: my son's bday is in January so we are seeking a party somewhere indoors where the kids can run around.:)
Ditto the Jungle Java, or even Ready Set Play. I would strongly suggest a weekday party, though as it gets crazy town busy there with the older packs of kids.
I just had my 2, 4, and 6 year old birthday party at Jungle Java on Old Settlers Blvd. It was great because the kids could run around the parents could sit, enjoy a nice warm drink and not worry about anyone getting into trouble. They took care of everything and it was completely stress-free.
One of our best birthdays was at home! We hired Stacy Grey to come and sing/play the gitar. The kids all made musical instruments and then she sang this bubble song, turned on the bubble machine - it was a riot!
Stacy plays the Austin Childrens Museum often and she is a great kids performer (and she is pretty reasonably priced)

Little Gym does birthday parties that are similar to Gymboree parties. They're private so you don't have to worry about bigger kids running around and they have a separate space for your cake extravaganza.
I'm not sure where you live, but the indoor inflatable places are always fun for that age..Not the one at the mall, but there are alot of them....pump it up has private rooms for only your party, so no crazy big kids unless you invite them. We have also been to a fun party at My little Gym, the kids tumbled, danced, and jumped on the trampoline! They really loved that and it was a little different! Good luck!

We just had our 4yr old party at Little Gym up by Lakeline Mall. It was TERRIFIC. The staff helped unload and load the car, served the food and did a great job of getting the kids involved in activities. It is also a huge, clean place and you have the whole place to your party. I was VERY impressed
Radijazz is great and affordable!!!! We had a wonderful bday party experience there.

I had my two yr old at Kiddie Acres the weather is cooler and the kids love the rides. The people were very helpful and asked if we needed help bringing stuff in for setup and putting away in car, and I bought 1.50 snow cones and they were great about the timing and helped me serve to the kids in the park. It was very reasonabled priced for all the kids getting to ride all the rides. I also went to some parties at Radijazz recently in Lincoln Village and the indoor play for 2yrs was very age appropriate, I think it would be a crowded place on a weekend though, I went to a playdate party during the week at the Radijazz. Birthdays are so fun I'm sure he'll love anything.
