Hi, I have a daughter who just turned 4. She often tells me she wants to go to school. But, I have no idea which one to send. I was trying to find a good preschool for her quite while, but I can't make a decision yet. I was hoping if someone can give me information about preschool in this area. If not, please just let me know which school has good reviews. I was thinking to send her 3 times a week to start. But, it all depends what the school offers.

Thanks in advance.

What can I do next?

Coker U.M. is awesome, but hard to get into b/c it is such a great and established program.

Don't let that hold you back from checking, though.

I've also heard great things about the JCC as well.

Parkview Baptist church has an MDO that a friend of my sent her son to-he has Down Syndrome and she was please w/ how they worked to accommodate him into their "regular" classes.

Hope you find something your DD enjoys~C.

Yukie,

Coker United Methodist has a great program & is very close to 281 & Bitters. Sign up & get on their waiting list if it is booked. They often have openings as the school year goes.

I have heard but do not know from personal experience that Cornerstone has a good program.

Concordia Lutheran is fabulous but it is at 1604 & Huebner.

Good luck

My son is only 3 but he goes to St. Andrew's Children's Learning Center. The address is 16320 Huebner Road. The phone number is ###-###-####. I am very impressed with the teachers that my son has. Hope that helps some.

My niece goes to St. Thomas the Episcopal school off 281 and 1604 access road East. She absolutely loves it and so does her Mama, they have part-time programs

Then there is the Harvest School located in the same area and they have part-time prgrams, as well, they are also having their open house Feb 5 at 7pm, so you could check it out then...

Hi, Yukie.

I send my kids to the JCC which is just fabulous preschool. The teachers are warm, and the facilities are amazing. In the summer, the kids have swimming lessons every day. I also like the diversity of the teachers and students. It almost seems like an international school some times.

I had also looked at the Country Day Montessori School which is also quite nice, but the JCC is closer to me.

Gan Gani is very close to you and has a very small and loving environment with an amazing 4 year-old teacher.

Good luck with your search. I'm sure you'll find a great fit for your daughter.

Well Hello Ms. Yukie. I came to San Antonio from California last year and had the same issue,I didnt know where to take my 4 (now 5) year old daughter to preschool. I have always had my children in Catholic preschools and didnt know what to do regarding my child. My real estate lady suggested the JCC. I went for a visit and was greeted by the centers director and given a tour while my daughter enjoyed some time in with her possible new teacher and class room. She really liked the teacher and the class. I loved the attention put on my comfort and that of my daughters. A little more expensive than I wanted but nothing is ever too much for my baby. Call them, ask for a tour, you wont be disappointed. Its the Jewish Community Center on Military.
