Hi J.,
My brother just opened up again in San Antonio. His name is Jo Rob Robinson and he is a color /cut specialist. He does hair for SA Magazine and several others. He has been in Houston managing the Saks Fifth Ave. Salon. He was getting home sick and is now back! He was a color specialist with Paul Mitchell for 13 years. He is wonderful and very close to you. He is located at Bitters and 281. The address is 606 Embassy Oaks Suite 105 right next door to Magnolia Pancake House. His phone number is ###-###-####.

Tell him his sister D. sent you! You will not be disappointed. He is really good and you won't regret setting up an appt. He is closed on Sunday and Monday so call him later today. He should be in his shop by 10am if not sooner.

Hey J.,

I have just the place. It's called Unique Image and is located on the corner of 281N and Mecca, which is the street across from Thousand Oaks. The shop is right behind the Chesters Hamburgers. Donna is really funny and is a personal friend of mine. Her cuts are normally about $20.00 for me and $5.00 to $10 for my two girls.

Good Luck,
Debra H

He's been the only person here to give me great color and a great cut. And he doesn't charge a fortune.

I personally have always been satisfied with Supercuts. I've been going there (multiple sites) for almost 20 years.

I like BeautyFirst, right at 281 and 1604 in the same shopping center as HEB. I've been going there for probably about 4 or 5 years now, and still go there even though I moved closer to 35 and 1604. My stylist is Susana and I love the way she cuts my hair, I have never been disappointed! Don't know how you will feel about the price, it's not the most expensive in the area but it will be about $50 for a cut and style.

I go to Moni at Petra's it is on the 1604 access road between Blanco and Stone Oak. Call and get the prices if you are interested. Moni does a great job and is a blast.

I go to the Aveda Institute, which is a teaching school. It is closer to downtown though, but the prices are great! Cut, color and highlights for $65! Ask for a student near the front - they have to start at the back and work their way to the front, so they have more experience. I heard that there is Paul Mitchel school somewhere on the north side, I'm sure it's the same deal. There's a nice spa and salon inside of the giant gym - spectrum? at 1604 between Blanco and Roger's Ranch, and there is a nice spa place called Isabell's right there but I don't know that they do hair there, but it's great for massages and pedicures. Good luck.
