Looking for a Good Pediatrician near Quakertown Area

I'm not that familiar with the area and i dont like the office we currently go too. We've lived here for 2 years and at first when we moved, i continued to drive to Willow Grove because i liked that office so much. After i had my 2nd child the pediatrician that visited us in the hospital suggested we try him. I did like him, i even took my 1 child there but then he closed his practice a few months later. Now were using a pediatrician very near by but i just dont like them. Every time we go the place is packed. The nurses just arent very understanding and the doctors are as brief as possible. They are literally in and out within 5 minutes. This is a huge difference from the offices we came from. I mean our first pediatrician would come in and really go through EVERYTHING with us, he was sooo thorough. I want that again, but closer by! I hate to keep switching offices, i want to just find one and stick with it.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Ugh nothing happened. I put off looking for a new office, and in the process missed my daughters last well check. I rescheduled it at the office i dont like and plan to request a copy of records while i'm there. Then i plan to make an appointment for my son at whatever new office i choose for a flu shot, so i can check them out. I just started a new thread about ABC family ped's and i'm hoping someone else has info about them. My dh got some info from them so i might check them out.

hey! i lived in quakertown up until last year! now i'm in macungie and take my baby girl (19 months) to a great pediatrician in allentown. children's healthcare (i use dr. linderman) ###-###-####. you'd just take 309N to 22E to Cedar Crest Blvd -> right at end of ramp -> left at 2nd light -> right on pond rd and you're there. it would probably take you 25 minutes or so. let me know if it works out for you!

Hi! I have always used Pennridge Pediatrics for my daughter who is now 6 and have never had a problem with them. More than once over the last few winters we have had emergency weekend calls for strep throat "gone bad" within hours of starting to "not feel good" and they had us meet them at the office even though it was a Saturday evening . They have a Sellersville office diagonally across from Grand View Hospital.
Good Luck!

M.,
I also live in Quakertown and have been going to Kids First in Doylestown (aka Central Bucks Ped-they changed their name about a year ago) I really like them but am pregnant with baby #2 and was looking for a closer dr in the area also. 2 of my neighbors both use TriValley Primary Care on Trumbersville Rd and they really like them, although they aren't a pediatrician which is what turns me off.

Hi! We are in the process of moving to Quakertown from Willow Grove and I am looking for a pediatrician closer. Were you able to find a good one yet? Can you tell me the name of yours so I don't bother looking at that one? Thanks so much for your time! :)

Not sure how far you would go, but I would recommend Dr Christopher Novak on Delaware Ave in Fountain Hill. Across the street from St Lukes Hospital. He's a very nice man. I always felt he took his time with me and my kids. That was for our bio children who are now older (in college.) He is probably around 45 yrs old now.

We now have an adopted 6 yr old and a 2 yr old foster child, both with special needs. We use Kids Care at St Lukes, I would not recommend them because the docs are always changing and the volume of clients is huge. I want a practice with more than one doc simply because we need someone always on call. Not a fill in etc.
I have just started seaching like you, have you heard anything about ABC Pediatrics? They just put an office in near the Promenade at Saucon Valley? My only fear is that they're very, very huge and not personable like you had mentioned.
Good Luck!

I just recently switched to a new pediatrician in Quakertown. They came on a recommendation from a friend. The office is North Penn Pediatrics and they are located at the St. Luke's professional building on Park Avenue. I took my daughter there last week and I really liked Dr. Patel. He was very thorough and was great with my daugther. Their phone number is ###-###-####. The are a relatively new practice in the area, but not new to pedicatrics. They also have a practice in Lansdale. I hope this helps.
