Need Help Finding a Good Pediatrician on the East Side Please!

I'm a first time mom to a 6 month old and just like you I didn't have a pediatrician when I had my daughter, but my Dr. recommended one for me and he has an office on Kelly Rd.
There are actually quite a few Dr's at the clinic. I go to their New Baltimore office so I don't know what the Roseville office looks like but the Dr's my daughter has seen were very nice. There is a Dr. Kutskill he was very nice and if you want a female Dr there is Dr. Ann last name starts with a V they call her Dr. Ann at the desk. They were both good and my husband really liked them both. The office number is ###-###-####. Good Luck!!

Oh my god, that sounds awful! I'm so glad you listened to your mommy instincts and got out of there.

My pediatrician is in Clinton Twp (19 Mile and Garfield) but it's only about 15 mins from you. Her name is Dr. Weidner, through Willow Pediatrics. She is Polish so she has a bit of an accent but she's very easy to understand. She is WONDERFUL. I love her and trust her 100%. She saw me and my siblings when we were smaller and now she sees my 15-month old. She has been amazing through everything and I can't recommend her enough.

Dr. Stacy Leatherwood with Henry Ford Hospital. Excellent pediatrician. She took care of my granddaughter from age 2 when we got her till age 18. We really hated to leave her.

My son sees Dr. Lyn Alling-Jones (we just call her Dr. Jones. I think someone else recommended her too, they just spelled her name wrong) at Northpointe Pediatrics. They do take BCBS (that's what I have too) and their office is GREAT!! My son has been seeing them since we moved to this area 3 years ago and I have never had any complaints about them at all. They are pretty local to you (Common and Schoenherr). Though Dr. Jones is my favorite Doc there, the whole office is filled with great people, especially the nurses. Those women are so wonderful when you have a sick child and questions. The office number is ###-###-####.

Congratulations new mama! I would suggest the Pediatric Clinic on Kelly Rd in Roseville. Their number is ###-###-####. We have been going to them since my son's birth and have been pleased.

I LOVE my son's ped. - her name is Dr. Lynn Alling-Hones through Northpointe Pediatrics. They are located on Schoenherr and 12 and a half.

The office has several dr.'s in the office and we have seen most of them and I have not been dissapointed by any of the them.

Congratulations on your daughter!! I have a wonderful pediatrician that I take my son to. It is a mutliple dr office. I would highly recommend them. I prefer either Dr. Kutskill or Dr. Balomenos.

W., I have the same insurance and we see a great doctor! The office is located in Sterling heights, I do not know if you are willing to make the drive. I dont think it is too far from Roseville. The office is on Mound Rd. and 18 1/2 mile. It is called Pediatric Health Care and every doctor in their is great!! I have been so happy with them, I have four kids and trust these doctors completely. They have a friendly office and they are equipped with changing tables in their bathrooms! I had adopted a baby with some pretty demanding medical issues, and we too go the Pediatric Healthcare. They are wonderful. We see Dr. Rebecca Wegner "Dr. Becki" and have been very happy with the quality of care we recieve. Just so you know, almost all dr.'s offices make you take dirty diapers with you. I think it is dumb, cuz we through them in the garbage everywhere else we go, but it is an OCSA (sp?) issue. Good luck with your new baby.

Congratulations on being a new mommy!

Sorry to hear about your terrible experience. I would definitely find a new Dr., hospital, and pediatrician. My pediatricians office is at 22 Mile Rd and Hayes in Shelby Twp.. There are three great Dr.'s in the office. The office name is Shelby Pediatric Associates and Child Lung Center, PC.

Just a note about the diaper.... due to health concerns all of the pediatrician offices that I have been in do not allow you to dispose of the diaper in the office. The offices usually give you a bag, if you do not carry your own, so you can take it with you.

First, congratulations!
I have 2 children, aged 6 & 3 months, and I don't go to a special pediatrician for either of them. Our family doctor does everything that a pediatrician would do. If you are happy with your personal physician, call them and ask if they do that. (well baby visits, immunizations, etc). There is something to be said for your childs doctor knowing your family history. We see Dr. Michael Kenneson at Garfield (Cornerstone) Family Practice at 19 & Garfield. All of the doctors there are wonderful and the nurses are awesome!

1st off congrats on new baby... i am typing with one hand since i am feeding my bby daughter right now, so excuse the type-o's. lol

We go to Willow Pediatrics on Gratiot just South of 16 mile. AND only see Dr, Olsen. She is AWESOME. number is ###-###-####.

oh my gosh how aweful. Listen call ###-###-####. The office is called Macomb Pediatrician and assoc. Request to see Dr. Ashraf Berry. He is an awesoem dr. and he very thorough and does not smell like dog.lol!!! You will be very pleased. I'm so sorry you had a terrible time. Thats so unprofessional.

I recommend Dr. Kevin Kutskill... a few other women mentioned the him and the office he works out of. I would not recommend Dr. Ann or Dr. Leo. He works out of 2 offices, one in Roseville (10 & Kelly) and one in the New Baltimore office (23 Mile, East of I94). I have seen every doctor in this office, Dr. Kutskill is my personal choice, he is always on time (which is important with a newborn and/or sick child), professional, courteous, thorough and always, always asks the parents if they have any questions or concerns. Being a father of 3 kids, he has seen everything. Being a new Mom you wouldn't have known that you can't throw dirty diapers away in the doctors exam room. They should have explained that to you in a more professional way. In previous posts someone gave you his Roseville number, but just in case, here is the New Baltimore number ###-###-####.

I go to Beverly Hills Pediatrics @ 16 Mile & Mound They are great. They also have an office in Bingham Farms. They have late hours every week and walk in hours on the weekend. Really I can't say enough good things about them! ###-###-#### or ###-###-####

I second Laura W.'s suggestion, Pediatric Health Care in Sterling Heights. We've been taking my 2 y/o there since birth and plan to continue to use them when our second child is born in November. Although our original pediatrician, Dr. Goza, left a couple of months ago, the other ped's on staff are good as well. We decided to see Dr. Wegner from now on; we like Dr. Hugen and Dr. McManus as well. The only ped we don't care for is Dr. Deprez...I can't exactly explain why but he just rubbed us the wrong way. We were already sensitive to what was going on (our son, then an infant, was hospitalized and he was our on-call Dr.) and he just left a bad impression on us.

So anyway, sorry to babble...Good luck with your search!

Dr. Robin Samyn is wonderful. She is a pediatrician and a family doctor. She just moved from Roseville to St. Clair Shores. She is a Beaumont Doctor located just north of 10 mile and Little Mack. I was referred to them from my OBGYN and I know someone who has gone to them for 8+yrs. My daughter is 3 and I love love love this office. Newborns never wait in the waiting room so they are not exposed to possibly sick kids. The staff is so great, never rude and so helpful. They have three Drs (Dr. Karam, Dr. S, Dr. Roi) my daughters main Dr is Karam but I have seen all of them and I refer any of them. They work out of St. John hospitals, I live in Clinton Twp and go out of my way to this practice/.

Highly recommend Northpointe Pediatricians @ 12 1/2 and Schoenherr. I have 3 boys and have used Dr Engel since day one (my sis has 5 kids and Dr Engel is her ped dr as well). They have a clean, friendly, kid oriented practice plus the drs are very easy to talk to and work with. Even though our dr is Engel, we have seen a number of the other doctors in the practice at sick appts and have never had a bad experience in 7 years.

We go to Northpointe Pediatrics and couldn't be happier with them. They are in Warren on Schoenherr, but are really worth the drive. All of their doctors are great, but we chose Dr. Alling-Jones for the kids yearly checkups. Their number is ###-###-####. I hope you find what you are looking for!
