I am hoping to get feedbak on local Peds. I would prefer to go to a woman -- but not essential. Any feedback on your MD would be helpful.

I take both my kids to Dr. Uma Reddy whose office is on Oakwood Road just off of 119. She always sees my kids the same day I call if either one of them is sick. She's great.

I really don't know any females, but I go to Dr.Sam Skaff in Kanawha City.He has a brand new office and even a sick child section and well side section. He also put in nursing rooms.I feel like he has been very good with my son.He saw him at the hosp.when he was born and ever since. I would recomend a meeting with him before the birth we did and he was great. The only negative thing is he does run behind some but only because he worked my son in for a sick visit.I also don't care much for the other Dr.in his office (Kahn) but you can't win them all.Hope this helps.

I take my little girl to Dr. Parsons at Kid Care in Kanawha City. She is in with Dr. Darnell as well. They are wonderful. The staff is wonderful as well. You usually don't have to wait long either, which is good for me. I would not recommend Dr. Skaff in Kanawha City though. He seemed to be a good doctor, but not as thorough as Dr. Parsons has been. We saw him for about 2 years and switched only to find out that my little one had a heart murmur that hadn't been checked AND needed glasses. Just my opinion of him though ... others think he is great. I do highly recommend Kid Care though ... either doctor is great. Good luck!!

I go to a female pediatrician that I absolutely love. Her name is DR Darnell, with KidCare Pediatrics. She is great. She is wonderful with my daughter, holds her, talks to her, and tends to any of my needs. She is kinda loud, and I come from a very outgoing family...so she is a great fit.

I love our pediatrician! After 2.5 yrs with MY pediatrician (y'know, when I was a kid) and not being happy with level of concern on Docs part, we switched to So Chas Pediatrics. Dr Jones is fab and there is a female partner in the practise.
Separate sick/well waiting areas... high level of attentive care and all around nice ppl...
