so I went swimming today in a pool and after about a hr got out ad went to go dry off. As I was walking I could feel fluid coming out ad thought it was pe or I started my period. I dried off down there and as I put on my underwear more water came out. I went pee and after that just a little more came out. Is this part of my vagina changing after having a baby? Has this happened to anyone? Come on don't be shy ;) and yes I'm starting to do kegals again after today!!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I'm happy to shed some light on this subject :) my baby was only 5lbs 13oz, I was full term just had a small baby, and had a 1st degree cut. I never pee when I laugh or had bathroom issues before or after her just this "leaky pool vag" lol well glad to see it's not just me and others feel my pain. I will keep doing kegals and hope it works. It's another small price to pay for having a beautiful healthy baby. She is now 5months. Thanks everyone for sharing :)

I've never had that happen and I've had some big babies vaginally. And, my lady bits don't seem to have gotten bigger - seriously. When we're intimate again after a baby is born, it's more like it was the first time we were ever intimate (very tight - uncomfortably so). I think it can be different for different people, but I honestly have not found that to be true for me. I think I'm part ninja, though, because that area seems pretty strong - maybe it's the kegals.

I thought it was just me!
I actually solve this problem by wearing a light level tampon.

I have only had it happen after going down water slides and the like. Really there was a bit of enema action going on as well so I have a feeling the guys had the same issues. :p

LOL! Yes, I also get leaky vag and I wouldn't call myself loosey goosy! I've only had 1 vag birth and 1 c-section. I had a 4th degree episiotomy, but he sewed me back up smaller than I was...AND I have Frankencrotch, but that's another post!

I need to see who else called it pool vag...that's my term too ...lol!

Yes! I cried about it and went to the dr. the next day and she was not sympathetic at all, so I cried more! This is one of the things they never tell you about! I read every book and never heard about this! When did you have your baby? It will be normal in about a year if you're like me. I had a huge baby! 3rd degree tear might be why it took me a year to feel normal again tho!

Happens to me, too, especially when I run. I might see a doctor about it but that's just me. I'm probably borderline incontinent and this is definitely after having my DD. I did read that giving birth can damage the pelvic wall which may result in the "excess flow."

Kegels will help but so will controlled squats, which will strengthen your glutes and your entire pelvic floor.

so I really don't think its a leak thing if you do not have it any other time but pool time. When submerged in water, water goes into that cavity. because there is nothing to hold it in per se it flows out. if you are experencing A LOT of water coming back out I would have a doc check to make sure water is not getting where it is not supposed to go. When I swim I get water in there and when I push off the wall or something i feel it forced out. its not pee because that is a different place. yes they are next to each other but a totally different feeling.
