there could be hormonal imbalance or other problems. I would give it a couple more days, then if you dont' start, GET TO THE DOCTOR. With having had one eptopic preg. I wouldnt' wait around.
Hi I am 3 days late on a regular cy of 28 days, I took about 6 hpt over the course of the last week and a half the last one being yestarday..all negative...I am having signs that I may be pregnant sore bbs, headache, queasiness, so tired, and cramps..I have 6 children and 1 eptopic pregnancy...I feel like I am about to start my period but I have not....I do not know if it is just the test I am using or if it is to early or what I just dont know what to do at this point- I baught all my test from the same place atthe same time...they are the $ test but they worked in the past for me - it is "supposed" to pick up hcg at 25???? Any help suggestions would be great!? I just want to know what is going on I am never late I have been ealry, but not late...I am not sick/and havnt been -no extra stress no weight loss or exercing...I am about 40 pounds over weight and generally healthy and I am not taking any meds? Thanks S.
Well today I woke up with light spotting it is 6 days and my hpt were all negative and my blood work was also negative..I am a little sad but greatful it was not another ectopic pg....Thank you to everyone who responded! I guess I was "late" just because...I am now bleeding very heavy....but the dr said that might happen so I am going to keep an eye on my cy and see how they end up!!
Again thanks mamsource and all who responded it was a great comfort to have someplace to turn to...

I saw you have an 8 month old. Are you nursing? Even if your cycles started up on a normal pattern, I know breastfeeding can cause you to miss periods.
3 days is not very late but got to your doctor and get a blood test if you really want to know.
Have you figured out yet what's causing this?Hahaha! Not a criticism. I am also a mother of 6. I just couldn't resist. Don't sweat it. Either you are or you aren't.Time will tell. Relax.
I would recommend checking with your doctor. I had a friend who had the same thing, symptoms of being pregnant, but kept having neg preg tests. She finally saw her doctor, and had a blood test that was positive. No explanation why upt's were negative. Had a healthy baby. good luck to you. You certainly have your hands full!
Call your dr. You might have a blood clot or blockage. OR you could be pregant. But I would call your dr. Especially since you have already had an eptopic. They can run blood tests to let you know what is going on.
Wow girl, I give you all the credit in the world! 6 children and going to school - do you ever sleep? :) Anyways, I would recommend calling your doctor and going in at least for blood work. I was able to do that and had the results the next day. I have heard of false negatives on those tests. Are you using different brands of tests? That's another option too! Good luck!
Hi S.,
I am a doula and this would be my advice to any of my friends in the same position. I would say that you should just relax for a week or two and see how things go. If you still don't have your period, don't waste any more cash on the pregnancy tests, but make an appointment with your ob. At that point you either are pregnant, or you have something else going on, but they can help either way. This is also a good idea since you have had one eptopic already.
Good luck! It sounds like you have a beautiful family.

I know this is the hardest thing to do (as I also love to take home pregnancy tests) but you need to just give it some time. I had a negative blood test & I was 4 weeks along. Sometimes the HCG isn't high enough in your system. Are you doing all of the Home tests first thing in the morning?? I too use the dollar tree tests - they've worked for me. I'd say give it a week or two, if you can (lol), & then try another home test. If you're still concerned, call your OB & they'll probably order a blood test. Hope this helps!!! :) A.
Hi S. (I love that name!) are you getting the test good and saturated with urine? I think the best way to make sure of that is to pee into a disposable cup and then soak it for 20 seconds or so. I have had pregnancy tests come out negative when I was pregnant! My sister-in-law was convinced that I was pregnant and the test came out neg.(and I had just went on the stick instead of soaking it and it said neg. so she ran a bit of water on the part that you pee on and held it so it could run on down in it and then it read positive! So, you just have to really make sure you get them good and wet.
Hope this was a help to you, let us know what you find out. I wish you lots of luck!:) D. R.
I just knew I was pregnant with my daughter but every test I took showed negative. After I was about 4 weeks late and still all tests showed negative I called and made a doc appt. Sure enough a blood test finally revealed we were going to have a baby. Maybe give it just a little more time and if you still do not start and tests still show negative give your doc a call. Good luck!
i would say to give it another week or so with both of my girls my tests came back negative until i was about 8 weeks prego. with my son it come back positive at about 5 weeks and even at 8 weeks after he was born mine were still coming up positive even though i wasn't. or maybe see about going into see your doc and getting a blood test they show even a minimal amount of hormone. sorry i'm not more help
It may be too early to tell. I think you have to be at least a month before your levels reach 25. Just Google HCG levels.
i seriously dought it's a blood clot, it's a more specific type of pain and from what you have described it's not even close. i've been in the medical profession for 10 yrs now & no one has ever described pain from a blood clot like that. it sounds more like a kidney infection or pregnancy. most pregnancy tests say taht you can take them as early as 5 days before your missed period..if you read the fine print only about 64% of women get a pos. result that soon, most other women have a TRUE pos or neg after waiting a full 7 days from your missed period. check your temp. a low grade fever 99-100 degrees is common in a kidney infection also. if you haven't started in a week or so, and the tests still come back neg. ask your doc for an ULTRASOUND of your uterus & falopean tubes..sorry but a siomple blood test won't tell you if it's an ectopic pregnancy.
NOT to sound redundant, but......since this is your 7th pregnancy, you probably are more sensitive to the early signs. I know I was after just 4 pregnancies....I know it's hard to wait, but give it at least a couple days, then test again. If it's still neg. after a week, you can always call your doctor. Good luck...with everything!!:)
