O.O.
Last night I watched Fioina lie through her teeth. So convincingly, even she seemed to believe it! Lol
Biden.
(But it's not going to come down to those two in a bazillion years.)
Most of the women I know are registered Democrats due to social issues like abortion and gay rights. We are watching Hillary tank in the polls and Bernie doesn't stand a prayer nationally so....if the race is Carly Fiorina vs. Joe Biden, what is your vote?
Regardless of who the Democrat nominee is, would you consider a vote for Carly Fiorina?

I'm a Democrat with lots of Democrat and Rebublican friends. I'm politically active and know many people who are. Here's the official opinion of all the Democratic women I personally know, including myself. The polls also reflect this:
We VERY STRONGLY like Hillary. She's experienced and no more corrupt and dishonest than any of the other candidates (except Bernie). We were all excited to vote for her hands down. Until Bernie came along who we all align with EVEN MORE. And we feel bad. We feel guilt. Because we like Hillary. But we will probably vote for Bernie since he truly walks the walk and hasn't wavered on his stances in all his decades in office. He has overtaken Hillary in the polls. I know several people who have signed up to work on his campaign. But we are perfectly happy to vote for Hillary if she wins the candidacy.
I haven't heard one single person mention Biden. I like Biden btw.
Interesting that you have the race narrowed down to him though. I'd vote for him if it came down to it. But then, I don't agree with one single GOP stance on things..so..
I'm registered as unaffiliated. No I would not consider a vote for Carly Fiorina. I am in the IT profession, and have been for 15 years. I still remember her time as CEO at HP. A corporation that was once known for its high employee satisfaction and strong dedication to excellence was pretty much decimated under her tenure. I don't think she was ready for CEO back then, and I don't think she's ready for president now. I don't want a repeat "HP" performance with the country at stake.
Between the two, I think I'd have to go with Biden, even if he does remind of the crazy ol' uncle that crashes the family reunion.
People like to discredit Bernie's ability build a voter base, but he could be a dark horse in this race. His numbers are growing ,and he's big in the younger demographic. I'm seeing more and more Bernie t-shirts and bumper stickers these days.
well, considering people didn't care that Biden was a plagiarist and fondles women he's not married to.....that people would support him just show how low the country has sunk....
I wouldn't vote for him. And didn't vote for him or 0bama - either time.
If it came down to Fiorina and Biden. Fiorina has my vote. Forbes seems to like her and feels she was given a bad rap

Wall Street Journal seems to like her..

Now on to Biden and his fondling ways...not a great way to be "President", right??

What wasn't mentioned on the Debate last night was the part about her shipping thousands of jobs over to China during her reign at HP. If Fiorina can't run a company, then there is no way she can run the US.
I'm an independent supporting Bernie right now. I also Å‚ike trump. He's an idiot, but he's honest and gets the need for a progressive tax. I wouldn't vote for him...he's a total clown, but I find him amusing and similar to Bernie: they are honest folk.
I like Biden. Out of all the people in the establishment, Biden is one of my favorites.
Fiorina is a snake. I don't know how else to describe her. No, I wouldn't vote for her.
I will not vote for Hillary. I feel bad about it, actually, but the lady is so mechanical at this point there is no Hillary. She's a machine. Most of the people running are machines, save for Bernie and trump. Neither of them have a real chance, but that they both have so much support tells me that many of us are ready for real change. The question is: how do we get it?
I think they are all a bunch of idiots that are all out of touch and just tell the population of voters they need what they want to hear.
I am disappointed that Dr. Ben Carson didn't speak up more and that he was not more prepared.
Firorina...meh....I think she handled Mr. Passive/Aggressive (aka Trump) well.
I do have a soft spot for Biden though...he suffers from disfluency and it is pretty cool to show my 11 year old son, who is also suffers from disfluency, how he gets infront of millions on tv and gives a speech. He does a great job of managing his disfluency and I like for my son to see and hear that.
I also like how he put family first when his wife died and he had to take care of his son. He was put in the position of having to manage childcare and keep his job. I would hope that would create empathy for women and working parents.
But then again they all seem to talk out of both sides of their mouths....
Hillary gets in we are so screwed. Clintons have 47 dead bodies in their wake of people who knew too much. She is so power hungry she will stop at nothing to get what she wants. She lies over and over. She is a disgrace
Right now I just know I would never ever vote for Hillary.
I thought Fiorina did an admirable job of handling Trump on the question of women's looks. He still doesn't get it, and she was great when he started calling her a beautiful woman (trying to recover after his "look at that face" line - showing he STILL doesn't get it). However, she's light on plans/programs and, according to a number of independent fact-checking organizations, she really got a lot of things wrong. She sounded authoritative and knowledgeable, but she wasn't.
I know there's a strong temptation to "throw the bums out" and vote in political outsiders. I understand the jaded viewpoint. That said, there's a real risk to bringing in people who don't know how the process works. The Tea Party rolled in and shut down the government (with disastrous results and outrageous expense to taxpayers) because of "my way or the highway" attitude vs. the spirit of compromise. So bringing in someone who has no experience concerns me. (I know people say that medical doctors like neurosurgeons have huge egos, but if I needed brain surgery, I doubt I'd say "Let's go to the newcomer with fresh ideas who isn't jaded by the money." I'd choose the experience.)
Biden has had some gaffes with shooting off his mouth when he didn't know the mike was on or when he went off script, and a lot of them make me cringe. But who among us couldn't be accused of the same thing? He has enormous experience as a Senator and has been a major part of all decisions out of the executive branch. So he knows how both branches work and how they have to give-and-take to get stuff done. He has a strong understanding of and respect for the military/veterans. I think he is a good and decent person, with no financial scandals associated with his name, and there's a humility there that is sorely lacking in a lot of legislators. If you haven't watched his interview with Stephen Colbert on the Late Show, do so. It's quite extraordinary as a window into both men's thinking and experience. So if I had to vote today (which I think is what you are asking), that's who I'd choose.
That said, there is more than a year to go, and a lot of time for the candidates to formulate and unveil their positions. Clinton, Sanders and to some extent Rubio have been doing that. It doesn't get a lot of media attention but I think voters should decide based on that stuff and not sound bites or single issue statements. I think it's way to early to say someone is tanking in the polls or that someone else doesn't have a chance. I think the more politicians who show disdain for the average voter, the more the populist flood will flow towards Sanders (and more people will stop being insane about the word "socialist" and will look up to see what it means instead of doing this communist/socialist BS - they aren't the same thing). And I think Clinton has done well in a lot of interviews of substance. Mostly I think the Republicans have to thin the herd a bit because right now it's a bunch of screaming to attention in a huge field with little in-depth questioning. As the election gets closer, those without a real plan and just a lot of posturing will fall by the wayside.
My choice would have to be:
None of the Above.
Given the choice between those two, I would absolutely vote for Fiorina!!
Honestly, the whole slate is slim pickings as far as I can see. I may just write in a vote for my dog.
I frequently end up voting for a third party candidate, not because I think s/he has a snowballs's chance in hell of actually winning, but in order to send a message to the major party candidates that they have been weighed and found wanting.
I haven't looked much into Fiorina, I heard about her history at her previous job and lost interest...lol. Maybe not fair, but I'm also trying to hold back somewhat until the actual two candidates are decided.
Same with Biden - all I know about him is that he's the VP under a president I like very much. So I would have to do some research.
But don't underestimate Bernie :) People keep saying he doesn't have a prayer...but why do they feel the need to keep saying that? Why does he keep filling venues and having to get bigger ones? Why is he all over social media? Think about it. He's overtaking Hillary.....
If you're saying he has no shot just because that's what you've heard so you don't want to invest in him...well heck if everyone thinks that way then YES, he won't have a shot. Self-fulfilling prophesy.....
I'm voting for Bernie and most people I know are voting for Bernie. I think he has a great chance to win the Democratic nomination or to win as an independent as long as he keeps his message out there.
Bernie Sanders is my only choice for president at this point, the only way he would lose my vote would be if Elizabeth Warren starts running.
Interesting question. I'd have to see where she stands on the issues I care about. I generally vote Democrat and am socially and fiscally liberal. But what I know of Fiorina, which is really only from reading her book "Tough Choices," I like. I think that she is smart, diplomatic, fact-driven and can make tough decisions under pressure. I would really have to see where she stands on issues first. I know that she has become much more religious since her daughter's death and her own battle with breast cancer, so that gives me pause because I feel strongly that religion and politics don't mix. I respect people's beliefs (and consider myself "religious") but it has no place in public policy.
Anyway...of the current Republican candidates, she is the one I like the most and who I think is the most intelligent, sane and has actual leadership qualities. Trump, Huckabee, Cruz, Christie, Bush and the like are an embarrassment to our country. I really wish those guys would just go away.
Bottom line? It depends on positions on issues, but I wouldn't count her out like I would most of the rest of the Republican candidates. If the GOP was smart (and unfortunately its leadership has proven time and time again that it's not right now) it would put some serious backing into her because I think she could actually win.
I would consider Fiorina v Clinton a much more interesting analysis just because I think that comparison is what is driving Fiorina up in the polls so quickly. Clinton comes off as a man hater where Fiorina doesn't yet she is seen as a strong woman.
Fiorina against crazy Uncle Joe? Easy choice for me.
I think it is interesting that people bring up HP. I also think it is interesting that no journalist has asked the question straight out, have you learned from it, what have you learned from it, would that make you a better President.
COs work at the pleasure of the board of directors. They can and are forced to make stupid decision because the board directs them to, not unlike a President and Congress. Sure a CEO can say that will destroy the company (veto) but the board can override them and that is what led to a lot of the failures at HP. So what did she learn from it?
Biden won't get it - he has spent his time in office putting his foot in his mouth and touching people inappropriately.
Hillary has a horrible track record as Secretary of State...she has 4 deaths with blood directly on her hands, so if she gets in I will also be so sad for our country.
I honestly don't know who I would vote for in the GOP race right now, I'm letting them weed themselves out first.
it does not matter who we vote for, the money will win. even if they are down in votes. the money will win.
