Ok just wanna say right off the bat it seems that no matter what I post there is always that person chewing me out. So regarding my question, my husband and I already have a kid and we plan on having another. We arent TTC yet but if I did get pregnant it's not a big deal. So please I'm a married and a M. to a sweet boy, no need to chew me out :)

THE QUESTION: I haven't been on birth control for about a year an a half. We just use the withdrawal method and it's worked great. But on the day I noticed I started ovulating we had sex and did not pull out. What are the odds I'm pregnant?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you all for the input. Like I said this is JUST FOR FUN. Not sure why people seem so snappy? I'm not "trying to fool myself" I'm just curious! No harm in that. I guess the term "chewing me out" wasn't exactly what I meant. I meant people being snappy and rude for no reason. I know how sex and pregnancy work I am an adult and have one child. It was JFF and wanted to hear other mamas stories :)

M.:

I've looked at your other posts....I don't see people chewing you out. that statement puts a lot of people on the defensive.

You might get "ribbed" for stating you are married to a "sweet boy" - not many husband's I know what to be called a "boy" when referenced by their wives...(please note - this is NOT chewing you out).

Here's a joke for you:

Question: What do you call people who use the withdrawal method?
Answer: Parents!! (LOL!)

Now to answer your question. You have had unprotected sex. You are in child bearing years. You COULD be pregnant. If you aren't doing anything to stop pregnancy and you haven't gotten pregnant by using the withdrawal method? I'd go talk to my OB/GYN as the chances of NOT getting pregnant and using the Withdrawal method are HIGH. that's why I said the joke up top!!!

Lol. I used the withdrawal method for over a year, and it worked fine for us... until ONE night, when hubby and I were on a weekend vacation, we got going to much to stop (we usually used condoms when I was in my 'ovulation zone'...) and didn't pull out either...

The ONE TIME! The entire rest of the weekend we were careful to use condoms... And we had been using them before... but I got knocked up. LOL!

At least I knew FOR SURE what date I conceived! lol.

The withdrawal method, is TTC. Unprotected sex, is TTC. Don't fool yourself, you aren't using birth control. It was in, when it was supposed to be out. The odds are good. Oh, and I'm not chewing you out...but I'm probably not telling you what you want to hear, and how you want to hear it.

I know what you mean....there seem to be a group of sassy ladies on here lately. I have seen a ton of rude comments to people who don't deserve it! Anyways, if you want my thoughts...? There is a very very good chance you're pregnant. The best time to get pregnant is when you have sex a day or 2 before ovulation and then the day of ovulation. So you said you did it the day of? Then yes! very good chance! Best of luck to you!!!!

We don't ever use any form of birth control, and my "baby" is 6. I hope your odds are better than mine. ;)

It depends on a lot of things. Did you get pregnant easily with the first? Are you young, or older? Did you stand on your head after sex? When my husband and I decided we wanted to get pregnant we figured it would be easy. After all those years of trying not to get pregnant, right? No. We started trying, I got pregnant a year later. Had a miscarriage. Got pregnant six months after that, had my first. When my first was a year old we tried again. A year later we were pregnant, and had another miscarriage. Six months later pregnant with my second.

In our case, in the same situation - unprotected and ovulating, the odds were 100% and she's now 6 :) But we were trying.
