I was compiling a few songs that I listened to over and over when pregnant with the boys, and songs for each one as they grow and develop their personalities and personal tastes (like my eldest: Creed's "With Arms Wide Open" and Lauryn Hill's "You're Just Too Good to Be True" while pregnant, and his favorites now like Jason Aldean's "Big Green Tractor".....My youngest: George Strait's "I Saw God Today" and The Ronette's "By My Little Baby", and his current favorite is Laurie Berkner's "Victor Vito", etc).
Was just wondering if you guys had songs like that, where when you saw heard them you thought about your children. Favorite songs during your pregnancy?

What can I do next?

Not really during my pregnancy but my oldest and i used to jam to "loves me like a rock" paul simon........we especially liked the part...

''oooh my mamma loved me, she loved me, she'd get down on her knees and hug me!"

We also jammed "little boxes" by malvina reynolds,,,,now her favorite song is 'american pie" by don mclean

My youngest (shes 2), so far(other than the obvious, barney song and ring around the rosey) likes the song "mommys alright, daddies alright" by cheap trick she likes to sing the part

"Mommy's alright, Daddy's alright, they just seem a little weird
Surrender, surrender, but don't give yourself away"

Of course shes 2 so she fumbles the second line, but its quite cute

The Day by Babyface

I love this song. It is about the day that Babyface found out from his wife that they were going to be parents to a baby boy.

I don't remember one in particular when pregnant but I made a song for each of my 2 girls. Nothing fancy and very short because other ways I would not remember, lol.
But when my teen was 8 I remember Kids Pop songs, they use to drive me crazy, lol. But now when I hear one I remember her with her CD player and singing songs and I "accidentally" singing along, lol.

First pregnancy... anything Pink Floyd. EVERY time it came on in the car, baby would go nuts in my belly!

Second pregnancy... I don't remember :l

Third BABY, that Jason Mraz song 'I'm yours'... it had just come out, and my son was the most difficult. baby. ever. Since it was a new release, it was always on the radio, and I would stand there holding him and rocking him and crying because HE was crying and I'd sing that song to him until he finally fell asleep. I owe Jason Mraz a high five for that one!

The song Maps by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs...I loved that song and my daughter would "dance" in my belly whenever I would play it.

Right now, she's 4, and she loves the Tangled soundtrack and anything by The Imagination Movers :)
