No, I do not think that "freaking" is a cuss word, and I say it sometimes too. But, to be honest, it doesn't sound right coming from the mouth of a little one. My almost 3 year old said it one day (she also is around older kids at daycare that say it, so I don't think it's just me!), and it rubbed me the wrong way. So, I am trying to be super careful not to say it, and I explained to her it's not a great word to use, I also need to listen to my own advice, because she has caught me saying it, and told me, "mommy you can't say freaking" and I said "Oh you are right! I shouldn't say that word! You are so smart, thank you for helping me remember!" and of course I feel so guilty! But I am getting better! Now, on to BC and BS. Yes they have the same meaning, but bc is less vulgar. Except I think the B in front just makes them both more vulgar (IMO). Just C alone, is better than bc, but either way, not for little ears. Your husband just needs to agree on what is acceptable and not acceptable to say in front of your son. Sometimes the only way to do that is for you to agree that you won't say something he doesn't like (even if you don't totally agree it's bad) and vice versa. So, if he doesn't like you saying freaking, then you say Ok, I won't say it, and then you can't say bc or bs. Good luck!
