Has anybody been here? What did you think? What about other pumpkin patches in the Chicago area?

Loved it! Took my son there who was about 1 at the time. Lots to do, and in my opinion better than Siegels in Crest Hill.

We went to Bengstons last year with our infant, not too much to do there with her. And the pumpkins aren't in the patch anymore. There are hayrides, and some animals, but it was pretty expensive overall. I did like it, and would go back with an older kid.

I second the vote for Goebberts. It's really nice and their donuts are a great fall treat!

When we first moved to Chicago we went several times. It is very expensive and from what I understand there is no longer a pumpkin patch. On a recommendation from a friend we now always got to Goebberts up by Schamburg. It is awesome and have very interesting exotic animals to look at. Well worth the trip.

I have never been there, but I heard it is a little more pricey than other pumpkin patches, yet they do have a lot to do. I ditto the Johannsen's Farm in Bolingbrook. I took my daughter there last year, and it was just the perfect size and activities for her (she was 1.5 years then).

Love it! I would go early in the month. Toward the end, it gets very busy. Also, I don't think everything is available on a weekday, but their website should tell you that. Last year, I think we went 3 times.

Love it! It's big, and there's lots to do. They even have pig races! They also have pony rides. My daughter loves it. Can get really crowded though. I'd go on a morning weekday.

I've also been to Goeberts near Elgin. It's further away from me, but also very nice. They have a petting zoo which is nice.

I grew up across the street from Bengstons, so w eused to go all the time. Now I take my second grade class there, although it is very expensive. Try Green Meadows Petting Farm in Naperville, or Siegels (not sure of the name) in Crest Hill. We are going this year. The website looks really good. Good luck.

I've been there a few times. I think its a good place. There is a pumpkin farm, petting zoo (not really a zoo) and I think you can go on hay rides.

Not sure where you are, but there is also Johanson's in Bolingbrook (on Boughton). That's a good place too . . .more things for kids to do.

If you have a young child, go to Dollinger Farm in Channahon. It is free admission and you purchase what activities you want to do. Bengston's is nice, but it's really expensive to get in and a young child wont enjoy the crowded areas or many of the activities. I have gone to Dollinger's the last 2 out of 3 years and love it. It is more open and the crowds are more spread out.
