what about photography
I love to read, but I would love to learn something new. I work full time and have an almost 3 year old (how can that be?), so my time is scattered, to say the least. I know scrapbooking is not for me - I barely kept up with my daughter's baby book. Painting, knitting (do people still knit?), just some activity that requires some creativity and skill to keep my brain from going to mush. What stuff do you like? I may be able to make a quick trip to Michael's if I get s ome inspiring ideas!

You may think I'm a little weird, but this is what works for me. Find a quiet time. Maybe when your 3 year old is napping. Find a favorite place....maybe the back porch in the sun. Take 3 deep breaths and let them out slowly. Close your eyes, relax, and ask the powers that be to show you a hobby that would fulfill you...or word it any way that feels right to you. Let it just come to you......and trust what you get.
You could always start blogging, that is what I do and I love it. It keeps me creative and is easy to do at a moments notice. Not to mention it is not messy, and it doesn't cost me a penny.. Bonus! Every couple of months I print it out and put it in a binder for a scrapbook for my daughter. I love blogging!

Check out www.TheKnack.com. It is a program Michaels runs that has all kinds of craft/project ideas you can do with your kids. Plus when you sign up online to receive emails you will receive additional coupons that are not in the weekly ad.
Join a bunco group. Lot of fun and interaction.
I took acting classes once a week after my first child was born. It was a great getaway from the weekly grind, and I met a lot of people. I know you probably weren't thinking along those lines, but it's an option.
