There is a Groupon out there right now for i-Lipo Laser Liposuction and I have NO information about it. Has anyone done this? Is it scary or painless like the information says? The caption basically says it liquefies fat and it is disposed through your body naturally... hmmm.... just looking for better info!

Thanks Ladies!!

I had lipo a month ago and it went great! But this is not something you should do based on a coupon. It is a serious cosmetic procedure and you should only do it through an experienced, board certified plastic surgeon.
Ask your regular doctor for a referral and go from there. Do your homework. If you get someone who does a poor job it can REALLY mess up your body and maybe even your health.
As far as the ad goes? Sounds like a total scam :(

I would seriously hesitate to get lipo based on a coupon. Cosmetic surgery is an art, and not all cosmetic surgeons are artists. In the cosmetic world, you often get what you pay for.

Nothing is "painless" -- it's painless because they give you local anesthesia. "Liquefies fat and it is disposed though your body naturally"? Bulls**t. It's surgery.

If you want lipo, research your surgeons carefully. A good surgeon can do wonderful things. But there is always risk, and it's not simple like that ad is trying to make it sound. That ad is a lie and would make me avoid that particular doctor like the plague.

You can find out a lot about laser lipo online. There are videos of the procedurie actually being done, some w/interviews w/patients while the procedure is actually being done too. I've never heard of the I-Lipo Laser. I'll hafta look it up to get a better idea before I can comment further but I'd do some research to find out which procedure is best for you. If this is different than regular laser lipo which liquifies then sucks the fat out, the regular laser lipo may be better for what you desire b/c it actually removes the fat but either way, do some research first, try to find complaints about the facility or procedure first like on complaints.com or ripoffreport.com, etc. Sometimes you can look up their address on Yahoo & it'll show reviews of the business. Good luck!

One of my friends has gotten staph infection two times from different cosmetic surgeries. It is a major ordeal and you should do some major research into this form of art.

Don't do it!
I purchased 8 sessions last summer, used 7 ( did not want to waste my time with the last one) and had NO results! I am fit, active person, but wanted my belly to be a little flatter.

The studies are still not sure where exactly the fat goes. I've looked into it and while it's been shown to "melt" fat they're not sure where exactly the melted fat is going.. is it going to other places like your hips, organs, who knows.. I'd opt for standard lipo if it's something you really wanna do.
