I know I should be taking my 19 month old daughter to the dentist for her 1st check-up soon, but I'm not exactly sure when. I also have no ideas of a pediatric dentist in the Spokane area. ANy advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
Thanks to everyone for the great advice and recommendations. My daughter is just starting to get her molars, so as soon as they are through I think I will take her in. Thanks again!

My daughter had heart surgery as a baby and needs antibiotics before any procedures and all the regular dentists were freaked out by this and referred her to Children's Choice because they are pediatrics dentists/specialists on the south hill but they have several other offices and they are very good. It's family owned the father and two sons there names are Charlie Touillon(father) Dave Touillon(son) they rotate through the different offices so you probably won't see the same one twice unless you go alot. I don't know how old is recommended for the first visit. I wait until mine are 3yrs old unless I see a real problem but that might not be right. You can always call the office and I am sure they will tell you. Hope this helps!!
My dentist recommended two; they don't have to sit still for long or have a cleaning, they generally just put some stuff on their teeth and look inside to make sure there are no major problems. I just took my son to my regular dentist and he did great. I see Dr. Parker on 13th and Bernard. He's pretty good with kids. The earlier you get them used to going to the dentist the better.
Hello My name is K. I have 2 1/2 year old twins and my girls go to Tillion, Tillion and Garbidian they are wonderful they are on grand right behind sterling savings bank on the south hill. Everyone has their differant ideas about when the kids should go to the dentist but my girls when for the first time when the wer 1 year and then they go every six months. All they really do is just get your kids ready for the dentist and they give floride treatments and answer any questions you have. So that is what I do. It has worked well for us.
Hello. I was told by my daughters pediatrician that as soon as they have 4 teeth they can go to the dentist, which is what I did and I took her to the Children's Dental Village to see Dr. Jay Enzler. That place is wonderful. It is fully set up just for kids. And my daughter has never cried or seemed uncomfortable around Dr. Jay. It's on 420 N Evergreen out in Spokane Valley. I strongly recommend this dentist.
Hi C.-
My son is almost 20 months and he has been to see the dentist 3 times. He doesn't have anything wrong or anything I just heard that around their 1st birthday they should start. First thing I found when I moved here is that all the child dentist offices asked if my son was enrolled in ABCD dental, so I would start there. Also, when you call them they can give you some names on child dentists in your area. I take my son to Dr. Ruemping, thier office is on Mission off of Pines accross from the Valley Hospital. I really like them and they are really good with kids. So far, all he has had is some flouride coatings and a general poke around the mouth to see if all his teeth are coming in well. I hope this helps out.
I have taken my children to a few dentists in the Spokane Valley and on the South Hill before deciding on Drs. Condon & Condon in Liberty Lake. (We moved to Liberty Lake 3 years ago.) I would highly recommend their office. My 3-year-old actually begs me to take her to dental check-ups so she can receive her free goody bag and play with the dentist!
