Looking for a Good Pediatric Dentist in SE Area

Dr. Doyle.. right off Sunnyside Road.. you can google his name, I can't remember the name of his practice off the top of my head.
He is a pediatric dentist!! Very good with the kiddos. :)

I also live in Happy Valley - hello! I have 2 children ages 6 & 8 that have both been to see Todd Young, DDS @ Young KIDZ Dental. They are on Sunnyside Rd, just East of the Albertson's shopping center. They have always been great with both kids - even when my daughter is kicking & screaming!

I would recommend looking for a mercury free and mercury safe dentist. You want to make sure that your daughter never gets a silver amalgam dental filling which is 50% mercury. You can find names of mercury free dentists at www.iaomt.org and www.dentalwellness4u.org.

It is important to support mercury free dentists so dentists that still place mercury in children get a CLEAR and LOUD message that we don't want mercury used in any children regardless if their parents are informed or not.

young kidz dentistry is right there on sunnyside drive in happy valley (might still be clackamas!) and they are great! the hygenist who cleans the kids teeth is super friendly and she explains everything to you. then you see dr. young for a double check and if there are any fillings to be done, you come back another time and see him to get them filled. they are very patient and cheerful with kids.

they have videos playing on flat screens in several areas of the office. the waiting room has a kids' section for them to play while they wait. there is a treasure chest full of stuft animals for the kids to hold while they are there if they are scared. and there is a neat fish tank.

oh, and did i mention they have every current magazine under the sun for mom or dad to enjoy while they wait! :)

K., we just moved here and went to Dr. Phillips (1109 Liberty Circle) Neighborhood Pediatric Dentistry. I was VERY pleased. The office is very kid-focused and very patient with my uncooperative toddler. I would say, though, that you might consider bringing your kids before 3 years, your insurance should cover it. A.

I have grown up in this area most of my life and have known my dentist since high school, the doc is great and his employees are amazing. I go to Mt Scott Family Dental on Stevens Rd. and see Dr. Howe. Good luck in your search and hopefully no matter where you end up you have a great experience.

K., If this is the Happy Valley in Oregon, I would say the best dentist in this area is Mike Bratland, at Cris Dental. If not, I would check out what you have in town, and then visit them yourself first! Some don't like to work with kids, and some do. Dr Bruce Parker is real good with kids but lousy with adults, take a little time and find the right one, the first visit needs to be a positive one! Good Luck, R.

I think I know where Happy Valley is, so I don't think a trip to Hood River is too far.
WE see Dr. Kyle House. They see children exclusively. They have a movie in the ceiling for kids to watch, and it's very kid oriented. My kids have had no problems. They are 5 1/2 and 4. No fears or anything. Hope this helps.

I took my 3 year old to Joon Kae in West Seattle. He's fabulous! I drove all the way from Lynnwood to see him.

Dr. Douglas Park in Gresham is the greatest children's dentist. My youngest starting going to him when she was 2.5 yrs.old and is still going to him. My 13 yr old loves him too.

Hi I undrestand how hard this can be with so many to choose from. I had 1 really bad exp then I found Dr Douglas Park here in Gresham. All 7 of my kids see Dr Park and love him. In fact they ask me all the time when do I get to go to the dentist. Hope that is helpful. I am not sure how far Gresham is from you but I would say he is worth the drive if its not to far.
