My in-laws are coming and I would like to take them on a scenic wildflower drive next Monday. I live in Cedar Park and was thinking maybe Brenham or Johnson City or something. Can anyone tell me where the flowers are popping up? We want to do a relatively short day trip that will get us home in the afternoon.
We are starting to see them in Austin, so I bet in Johnson City and Fredricksburg they have popped out. Call their Chamber of Commerce and ask them..
We do annual pictures in the bluebonnets of the kids, dogs, whole dang family. These sites have proven to be very useful with timely reports about exactly where to find patches of bluebonnets and other wildflowers. Hope they are helpful to you, also.

Go for BBQ in liking or Taylor. Both ways the blubonnets are popping out all over.
I would go to Brenham out through 290. The flowers should be out in that area as well.
