Help W/ Little Smokies Recipe

I know everyone will think this is the most random question, we are having a Cowboy watching party Saturday night and I bought a large bag of Hillshire Little Smokies to put in the crock pot. I have never made them and there is no recipe on the bag, the Hillshire Farm web site was not very helpful and a majority of the on line recipe sites say to add grape jelly, does this sound right? Does anyone have a great way to prepare these? I don't want to experiment with this one - there are 20 people coming over.

Thank you.

The grape jelly is REALLY GOOD! It sounds "wrong" but, we have it every year at our office Christmas party. I probably ate it for 5 years before I was told what it is...when you eat it, you do not think "jelly!" The bonus is that it is really easy - just the jelly and the smokies. The only other thing I know is some people put B-B-Q sauce in the crockpot, but, the grape jelly is better...GOOD LUCK!

I use a jar of red currant jelly and a jar of Mister Mustard. They are delicious!!

I know it is a late response but I use them for baby pigs in a blanket with crescent rolls and hot mustard. I have also done the chili sauce and grape jelly in the crock pot.

I love to cook them with BBQ sauce and canned pinapple chunks. Only use a little juice. Kids really love this one too.

A....we make these every Christmas. You just buy two bottles of your favorite barbeque sauce(or more depending on how many you are doing), put them in the crock pot with the sauce poured over them and turn it on. I always add a little worcestershire sauce and some ketchup, too. I used some spicy barbeque sauce, so the ketchup helped to tone it down. You could add some grape jelly in with the barbeque sauce for a sweeter flavor. I'd say one small jar per large bbq sauce bottle. They do take a while to heat up in the crock pot, so start them early(at least 30 min. early).

Hope this helps!
