What do I do??? I am going to give my OB a call but was wondering if anyone had some info on what I should do. I just checked the "foods to avoid during pregnancy" list and it was on there. I was unaware that it was that cheese until I had already had a good amount. =0(

What can I do next?

If you're having no symptoms and your OB is alerted, and you want to get this stuff out of you in a healthy way...

Something you CAN do:

Eat LOTS of CARROTS. Carrot fiber is a bile-acid binder and will pull the cheese through and out of you.

When you eat fats, your body produces bile which globs onto the fat. Certain fibers then absorb the bile/fat blob and imprison it within its fibers. Carrot fiber does this. Without these fibers present the bile acid and the cheese fat will be absorbed into your blood system through your intestinal wall in loads. However, if trapped in the carrot fiber, this acid and fat have no choice but to be escorted out.

Gotta love those carrots!

B. I wouldn't worry about it too much. They say no soft cheeses because of a bacteria it "may" harbor. But its pretty rare, especially if the cheese was stored properly. If you get any stomach flu like symptoms call your OB, but otherwise its fine...there is nothing in the cheese that is bad.

Don't stress about it unless you get stomach flu symptoms. I think this is because they worry about a foodborne illness called Listeria - but you'll know if you get it, tummy problems, etc. Don't sweat it - it is SO rare to get this, you are going to be fine and your baby will be fine too. Rest well, much bigger things to worry about.
