So What Happened?

Thank you so much everyone for your responses! Since this is our first child, EVERYTHING is new to us! We're due two weeks from today and we still haven't even made a final decision about daycare (nanny vs. my mom vs. daycare center)! If anyone in Perry Hall has any opinions about that, I'd love to hear what you have to say. Your advice is so helpful! Thanks!

Dr Elaine Wilson has been my pediatrician for 5 1/2 years now. She is absolutely wonderful. Anytime I have a question or concern (no matter how big or small) she is always concerned and follows through. Her number is 410-554-KIDS

Hi Dana,

I know you are looking for a ped doc in the Balto area, but I live in Harford Co, not too far from Perry Hall and have a great ped doc up here. The practice is called North Park Pediatric and I see dr. Scott Winiecki. He is really awesome and is really down to earth. I am a new mom, I guess not really because he is 2 1/2 yrs old, but was very nervous about everything. He is the type of doc that doesn't get excited or overreacts to any situation and just makes you feel comfortable. You can call him and see if he is taking on new patients. There # is ###-###-####. If he does, take the time to set up an interview and see what you think.
I hope this helps!

Hi, I take my daughter to Honeygo Pediatrics, they have 4 docs and are great! My best friends kids go there as well. They are near the White Marsh Library and the mall.

Hi,

It is so hard to find a great pediatrician, but I was able to find one when my daughter was born. She is now 4 1/2 and my son is 2 years old. His name is Dr. Manuel Machiran. His office is located on Rossville Blvd. near the K-mart on Belair Road. His office phone number is ###-###-####. He works out of GBMC and was on call the weekend that my son was born so that worked out great.

He is so wonderful and very responsive even if it is after hours. There is not one time when I have not received a call back after calling him. He also gives more common sense advice about the issues that you have and is genuinely concerned about all of the infants and children that he sees. He also cares about the Moms, as well. I remember when my son was born and I took him in to see him for the first time. Dr. Machiran actually asked how I was doing, was I getting any sleep, etc.

Hope you get a chance to meet with him personally. I know that he takes appointments for that. My husband and I met him personally before my daughter was born and we loved him.

Congratulations and good luck in your search!!!!!
