I bought her cookbook the other day and everything looks so amazingly good. I haven't tried any of her recipes yet - either from the book or from her blog. I'm just wondering does her food taste as good as it looks? I can't wait to try some of her recipes!

I have & the few things , I have tried, are good. Everything I've tried, has been a ridiculous amount of food & I've had to cut recipe in half or even thirds , when making it just for my family .

I love her blog, especially how she step-by-steps everything in pictures. Her recipes are so easy to follow, and are things that real families eat -- not that weird stuff made from expensive ingredients that I see too much of on the Food Network. I love Ree!

Yes! I've been following her blog for years so I don't remember everything that I cook that's from her but it's a lot. Off the top of my head...caramel apple pie, chicken panini with apricot sauce, sweet and tangy chicken drumsticks, bacon-wrapped jalapenos, chocolate peppermint cookies, pot roast, Marlboro Man sandwich, chocolate sheet cake, "The best frosting I ever had," lemon pound cake and prime rib.

I avoid some of the recipes that are throwbacks to the 70s but I doubt those made it into the cookbook (anything that includes Cool-Whip is off my list). I love her blog and her food - have fun!

ETA I'm making the bolognese sauce that she posted recently sometime this weekend - can't wait for that!

I follow her cooking blog, if I had cable I would watch her food network show! I follow a whole bunch of cooking blogs though. The recipes that I can think of off hand that I've made are crash potatoes, duchess potatoes, meatballs, and whoopie oatmeal cakes (these are now a regular in my house). Her recipes are yummy and I'm sure I've made more of hers but with cooking recipes I basically look at the ingredients and cooking temp and then tweak it or just wing it, I usually don't follow it to a T like I do when baking. When I made her meatball recipe I actually did follow that to a T and they came out missing something and I remember thinking during mixing everything that I should have thrown some cumin and chile powder in there. She did a preview of her carrot cake on her blog and that looks reeaally good but for some reason I couldn't ziplist it. Have fun!

I just came across her this week. (Home recouping....lots of tv).

She made an amazing looking carrot cake that I will most definitely have to make. Love the idea that others have tried her recipes and have enjoyed them. :) Yay!

Noting earthshattering, taste is ok at best but what can you expect form a recipe that calls for a can of something.

love ree. i don't have her cookbook but have long followed her blog, not just because of her incredible (and easy to follow) recipes, but because she's a fellow homeschooler, a delightful writer and seems to be an all-round awesome gal. really, most of the recipes i've made have been wonderful, and i suspect the ones that weren't were due to pilot error<G>.
