Finally found out that my baby is allergic to Pampers Diapers ever since they switched to NEW Dri-max system. Tried several attempts at Desitin without result. My Pediatrician thought it was a fungal infection and gave us an anti-fungal, and it did not do anything. The allergic reaction got worse and started to spread, my baby was hurting. Finally, we applied a small amount of low dose topical steriod, and the lesion resolved. This convinced us that it was not a fungal infection. But soon, it reappeared as we were still using Pampers. Finally, I took my baby to the Dermatologist who informed me that it was the Pampers 'DRI-MAX' diapers, and advised to switch to a Hypoallergenic product. I changed to Organic Hypoallergenic Huggies brand, and magically, the lesions resolved in less that 48 hours. It was amazing!! My baby was finally happy when I was changing her diaper rather than listening to those painful cries. Never had an issue with Pampers with my other 2 kids, but this new Pampers product is not appropriate for babies skin. I advise other Mom's with this same issue with their babies, to switch hypoallergenic diaper brand. It is NOT A DIAPER RASH, it is an allergic rash.
