My son had this last year, I believe he caught it in the church nursery, since I stay at home with him. The dr said we just had to wait for it to clear up, but to wash hands thouroughly, especially after changing diapers.
I have been reading through different information about this, but I was wondering if anyone else has any experience on this subject...thanks...I have one in my home child care that has been diagnosed and was getting as much information as possible...
thanks all

My daughter came down with it a while back. I took her to the doctor and they told me that as long as she wasn't running a fever that she wasn't contagious. Also, it seemed to take forever until it was completely gone. Hope this helps!
It is just a very contagious virus. The rash can show up on the hands, feet and mouth but it may not show up on all parts. My daughter only had the rash in her mouth when she got it. She had a very high fever and it scared me, but she recovered well.
My son had a touch of it once. There is nothing you can really do for it, which sucks. But it is very contagious! The infected child should not be around or touching other children. You can give them tylenol or motrin for the pain but that's about it.
My Daughter had it too. She was in a daycare center then and they wouldn't allow her to come back until her sores had healed. She was out for about a week. It is contagious. I was pregnant at the time and my doc told me just to make sure I washed my hands and to be careful. She had it on her hands, feet and in her mouth too. Hope this info helps you out.
My infant also got it about a month ago. His pediatrician said it is really going around right now. My sister's child also got it at her daycare as well (they had an outbreak where quite a few caught it). It is very contagious and there isn't much you can do except give a pain reliever. Mine was really fussy the first few days and he had a fever that got upwards of 104F. They can get the sores on their hands, feet and around their mouth, in their mouth, on their tongue, lips, etc. The ones in the mouth can be painful when it comes to eating. It takes about a week for it to go away.
