Hey! I need a gift for my daughter for her first birthday - thie Rody Inflatable Hopping horse looked fun but I wasnt sure it was worth the money. Do any of you have one of these? Is it worth it $40?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Partly based on your comments, I decided against getting the Rody. I think she is too little, and, compared to my son, she is a little bit of a sissy. :) She cries EVERY time she falls even a little bit, so I dont think she would enjoy falling off the Rody. Plus, I think my 30 month old son would knock her off it and take it for himself.

Instead, I am getting her a snuggle pod and a put and peak bird house. I think they look really cute and perfect for her! Thanks for all of your comments. My son may get a Rody for his birthday in May.

My parents got one for my daughter when she was 16 months old and she LOVED it. My son is now the same age and he likes it but does not use it as much as my daughter did at that age. But it's held up (she's had it for two years now) and has barely lost it's air. I think it's a great idea and my parents paid over $50 for it so getting it for $40 is a great present!! Just beware that she may fall over on it for the first few months since she's so young!

We bought my niece one for her birthday, and she LOVES it! Everyone did actually. I would say it's a GREAT gift, and when my son gets old enough, we'll probably get him one.

It's only $40? I paid something like $55 for mine! Anyway, I got it for my daughter when she was two years old. It took her YEARS to get the hang of riding it. She did love to decorate it and play with it. My son, who is almost three years younger than my daughter, figured out how to ride it before my daughter did. I think it is a little more appropriate for a two or three year old. That being said, it is one of favorite toys in the house -- especially when other kids come over to play. And it is super durable too. I can even ride it, and it makes my kids laugh to see me on it.
