Hi I.. I have personal experience with two great gyms. My son (who is turning 3 tomorrow) has attended the Little Gym (on Highland Knolls near Peek Rd) and Westwood Gymnastics (the Highland Knolls/Grand Parkway location). They are very different atmospheres so it depends on what you're looking for. Little Gym is one room with a variety of activities (mat play, balance beam, bars, rings, etc). The kids can run around and do what they want although I think it gets more focused as the age increases. There is only one class at a time at Little Gym. Westwood is a huge gym that caters to all ages, has every gymnastics item you can think of and has a lot of classes going at once. If you want a more realistic but still fun class Westwood is great. You can do a free trial class at both if you want to give them a try and see what both are like. I'm sure your son will love both (mine has). Goodluck!
My niece goes to WGA.
Wilson's Gymnastics Academy.
It is owned by Jaime Wilson.
My niece has been with Jaime for 5 years and loves her.
Jaime is an awesome coach and a wonderful person.
Her gym is located at the corner of Mason and Franz(or Saums)
She has a web site,too.
Good luck!
Hi,
We use the WESTWOOD GYM on the corner of Highland Knolls Dive and Grand Parkway (highway 99). It is down a lane and there is a church just before it if you can't find it. They have another location at 20212 Franz Road Katy. You can go for a free trial.
My kids like it.
Call the YMCA in your area. They are family-oriented and have activities just for kids.
The Little Gym
My daughter has been going there for about a year now and absolutely loves it! (Not to mention the birthday party she had there that she and my mommy friends are still raving about.) They have several class choices such as gymnastics or even karate with only a handful of students (at most) for each class to keep the interaction more one-on-one. They have a couple locations depending on where in Katy you are and lots of different hours for each day. One thing my daughter really enjoys is the fact that the couple of times we've had to miss a class she can take a make-up class doing something else =) Hope this helps.
