Great Poop Book for Older Child - Aspergers

Looking for a great kids book with step by step instructions on how to poop on the toilet - or a social story that I could print would even work. I found one social story online that was pretty good, but missing steps. I know I could write one myself, but if one already exists, would be easier. My kid is 5 1/2 and has aspergers. He's very high functioning, but very rigid.

What can I do next?

My son (3.5) really likes "Everyone Poops" by Taro Gomi. It's even "graphic" in an illustrated sense. It's by far the best of the 3-4 "how to use the potty" books we have.

If you're anywhere near downtown Chicago, try contacting Easter Seals. They have a resource room where parents can use Boardmaker, laminate and Velcro at no cost. Chances are they have a social story for toileting that already exists.

I agree with Diana P. - Everybody Poops is an awesome book. No surprise, I haven't met a little boy who didn't think that it was hilarious too. :) Very well done. It's not necessarily a step-by-step tutorial, but given that your son is very high functioning, he will get it.

I'm sorry - I do not have a suggestion for you however I know the struggle of potty training an Aspie - best of luck, I hope you and he find success!
