My son sees Dr. Bodini at Academic Endocrinologists in Wheaton (same practice as Dr. Zeller). I don't know how he is in your area of concern but in ours, he is good.
My daughter was recently diagnosed with Addison's Disease and I was recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism. We're in dire need of a really kick-butt endocrinologist. Bonus points for one who is holistic, homeopathic, or believes that you can help disease with diet.
We live in Wheaton, but drive frequently to Elgin for another doctor, and would be willing to travel up to about half an hour if the doctor is really worth it.
Thank you so much,
M.

my best experience is with W. Patrick Zeller at Academic Endochronologists. Google it. I have had awesome experience with my type 1 daughter and this practice.
Dr. Edward Paloyan, in Hinsdale. He is the best in the area! Don't think that he is holistic, but I wouldn't eliminate seeing both types of doctors. I have Hashimoto's and wasn't able to have children....probably could have had children if my condition had been diagnosed earlier. (Lots of doctors had diagnosed my condition, but Dr. Paloyan has many years of experience and doesn't prescribe certain meds which are usually used for Hashimoto's.)

I see Dr. Rupp in Geneva...out of Delnor. She is pretty good. She is compassionate and on top of things. I wouldn't say that she is "kick-butt" though.
